New and Confused

Hello everybody, irishozzy here. Yes I am a newbie and being Irish I am also confused. First a quick introduction. Irishman, 44 years old living in Australia. I am sorry to bother you all but i will be in Thialand in July with a group of male friends (7 ex footballers ) for the Asian Cup. We will be in Bangkok for 2 days, pattaya for 7 days and then Bangkok again for another 2 days. I have all the usual questions to ask but don't know where to start. IE: Bars, Girls, cost, how to approach etc etc. It has probably been done to death but if somebody coud point me in the right direction it would be apprecaited.

BTW, perhaps the first thing you should do is to read all the "stickies" in the Newbie area. That would be a good start.

I have had a look at the "stickies" but i am still a little confused. I will post a few of my questions here. If i am in the wrong area, or my questions are not the right sort of questions please tell me.
1) Being first timers, what should we be wary of in the bars.
2) What is the appropriate way to approach the girls.
3) What price range should we be looking at
4) Will the hotels allow you to bring the girls back
5) How much should you tip
6) What bars are more suitable for men in their 40's.
7) Are all the girls in the bars working girls?

Again, excuse my ignorance with the questions but this is a once in a lifetime boys trip and we would like to know everything.

Truthfully, you should really spend a few days (or evenings) just reading because a lot of answers are right here, but you will have to look around a bit. I will give you a short (and IMO) answer to your questions.

1. There is a lot to learn and some you will have to do for your self. Don't think the first pretty lady you see the one you want or that she wants you. Get to know the girl through casual conversation of flirting for a bit of time before bar fining. If you wants something specific from her, ask first. In short there has to be a connection between you.
2. Most often they will approach you. If you are not interested let them know. Again the first girl is not always the one you want.
3. Varies greatly. Reading the various posts in this board you will get the general idea. Generally Bangkok is more expensive than Pattaya. A Go Go's are more expensive than bars. Early evening command more than late night.
4. Many will and some will not. Search the forum for "Girl Friendly"
5. Totally up to you. Often no price has been set and you pay her what she deserves, hence important to read up on the rates in this forum.
6. All of them
7. No, but will soon figure out who is and who is not.

Type in the 2 words Girl and Friendly separated by a space. You will get a lot of hits, but from the titles you can get an idea, whether a particular thread is applicable.

1) overcharging or bill padding (Not common but it does happen).. Occasional stunner with attitude..

2) hello.. You go with me ?? Or I pay bar you ?? Or 'buy you drink'.. all extremely obvious and simple..

3) Standard beer bar 1000 LT min up to 2000 at the higher end.. anything more is getting to be overcharged. But some girls may demand it and up to you if you want to pay it.. Maybe a bit more in gogo's or big cities but even then above is fair..

4) Some but not all.. Additionally some hotels allow guests but charge a joiner fee.. You should look for a hotle that is guest friendly (eg they charge no extra).. many hotels either copy or keep the girls ID.. This is for your protection.

5) depends on service and how much your paying already.. 200 - 500 is generous enough if your paying at the low end.. If you had agreed 2k or up the I would say shes haggled her tip in advance..

6) up to you.. Any and all..

7) Not all.. But the vast majority.. To be honest even the ones that are not working (cashiers etc) can often fall for your charms if you work on them.. There are however some girls in the scene who are trying to play the straight and narrow and just work or maintain a relationship.. Approach all respectfully and you wont have a problem.

tequilla before you know it...

Check with the hotel before you go...

5) How much should you tip
I think 10-20% is ok

Email them and ask what thier joiner policy is.. They will understand and will have heard it before..

It can be varied.. Some are guest friendly = free.. Some may charge a fee only for >2 or 3 joiners.. Some may charge a fee for any joiner.. Some may ask for a huge fee (3000 - 5000) to stop people doing it..

You can always use a ST hotel but it kinda takes some of the LT fun away..

A few example of Hotels that I have stayed at of know for sure in Bangkok:
Majestic Suites, Dynasty Grande, Nana Hotel, JW Marriott, Majestic Grande, Dynasty Grande, but you will find that by far most hotels on Sukhumvit are GF (not all though). Once you narrow down your choice, send them an email and ask if you are allowed to bring a guest without paying joiner fee. If the email is affirmative and you book the hotel, print out a copy and bring it with you.

Many hotels do not have A joiner fee, however, if you bring more than one girl back there may be a small charge.

To read up on hotels you may also want to go to "Advanced Search" and search for Hotel and select Search Titles Only. You can even limit the search to a specific forum such as Bangkok or Pattaya.

That would be true. The staging behind the glass is called a fishbowl. The service provides is refered to as a soapie. Using a lot of soap she will massage all of your body with all of hers. Depending on where you go and from where in the bowl you pich the prices range from just over 2000 to 3000.

In Patong the is only one; Christin. In Bangkok there are many. My favorite is Utopia Entertainment which is about a 60 baht taxi ride from Sukhumvit.
