Next trip to Phuket (Title changed)
Hi everyone. I have been reading threads on the forum for quite a while and I find them facinating and very informative. I feel priviliged now to be part of the forum. I hope that I will be able to give as much as I get from it.
I have been travelling to Thailand for about 4 years. The trips are becoming more frequent. First year, 1 trip, last year 4 trips, this year twice already. It is like a drug. It is very hard to be in Ireland when all you want is to be in Thailand. At least, through the forum I can feel a little closer to LOS. I spend most of my time in Bangkok so if anyone needs any info. I will try to help. I spent 2 days in Pattaya last year. What a place!! I stayed in the Penthouse hotel. Absolutely mad place, dont take your wife there and dont stay for more than one night, but what an experience. I am going to Phuket in two weeks and i cant wait. I feel like I have been there already because of all the info. that you guys have posted. Thank you all for the welcomes I have received already and I look forward to years of sharing info. with you all.
Cheers and Beers! Shanghai.

Hi and welcome.
If you post your dates in this thread , werwolf will add you to the "Member's Arrival" thread.
Pop into MTB(better after 10 pm.) when you get into Patong and introduce yourself to Nicke and any other BM's in town.

Welcome to the board Shanghai. I'll be in Phuket in a little over 2 weeks (arriving on the 26th). Let's try to have a beer at MTB.

Welcome to the board Shanghai -
If you get the chance try and get to MTB - or for a taste of the Emerald Isle you and Mrs would be made welcome at Faulty Towers (the bar/resturant - not the mad BM!) - no girlies there so perfectly Mrs 'safe' - you may not be safe from Crustasian though - beware of Killkenny!

I am sorry but i do not understand what you were saying. Should I not title the thread "long live the king"? If not, how do I change it?
Cheers, Shanghai

Hi Pad mac
Wife has never been there with me, but I think because I go so much she wants to see for herself what brings me out there, so as you can imagine we will be visiting lots of palaces, crocodile farms etc. and early to bed.

Ahh... I see...
I would be interested in hearing what she makes of Nana/Cowboy etc (If she ever gets to see them). Something tells me that you won't be rushing to those places first...
Is She Irish too?

I will be staying close to Nana so I will do a whistle stop tour. No point in trying to say that it is not there. We will go to Patpong also (for the shopping) and a pint in ) Riellys of course, but I will give cowboy a miss. That might be pushing it a bit. Yes she is Irish!!

Why do you worry.
My wife has been to all the bars in patpong and also pattaya.
Will be in Phuket on the 24th of may and guess what. We will be in the bars again. Not for s-x or anything just a good time drinking and partying.
Most wifes understand these thing IMO and can enjoy it with you.
When things are hidden or you are a different person when they are around you someday slip up and she will be off becuase she does not really know you or your personality when she's not around. Just my opinion.
Thank God for my wife and her understanding.

I am probably reading "between the lines" too much... But it sounds as if she's on fact finding mission on why you go to LOS so much.
I know that Irish Girls can be as open minded as other nationalities and your missus is most likely the same type of person as DB's wife.
The post I made to dbaron was intended in a light-hearted way and as I say I'm probably reading between the lines too much...
I'm sure you and your wife will have a great time in LOS...

Not a lot Pad Mc,
I do however know Aussie girls quite well and asian as well.
I also work across the road road from a Irish type pub that has lots of guy's and girl's from your homeland that are backpacking and drink there all the the time.
I think they are mostly VERY VERY liberal minded from what I have seen Ha HA
