Hello everybody,

discovered this forum a while ago, great info source en from time to time pretty hilarous reply's. And it's also a nice way of kinda staying in touch with the place.

Been to Phuket twice already. The first time in october 2006(kamala), was there this year during songkran(patong), and will be going back to patong in september probably. I guess i'm getting hooked

tnx for the warm welcome guys! ok for that upcoming trip report, and to catch up a little here are my experiences so far :

The first time (november 2006) I stayed in BKK for two days doing the usual tourist things (temples, palace, some shopping,...) No ladies since the nightlife area was too far away from my hotel and being a little overwhelmd and culture shocked i took it easy (note for next trip to BKK: do not get an hotel in the Din Daeng area anymore).
Then I went of to Phuket for 2 weeks and stayed in the Kamala Bay Garden Resort. A very nice place, very friendly staff for a reasonable price.

Disovered a Belgian pub/restaurant in Patong right away (Belgian Steak House in soi la diva), wich was kinda my home base for the holiday. After two days I got fed with the 300 bhat tuk tuk rides to en from Patong and rented a motorbike for the rest of my stay. During the day time i spent my time cruising around Phuket, discovering the island and the people and being lazy next to the swimming pool.

The first time i went out in a bar under Tiger disco, barfined a girl who at the end i took not to my hotel. We had been playing that dice game the whole evening with 3 girls from that bar. If i lost i had to pay them a drink, when they lost they paid me. Believe it or not, I was on an incredible winning streak and getting completly drunk (for free!). On the way to the tuk tuk i told the girl that it had no sense she came along 'cause i was way to drunk.

Later on had another girl from an other Tiger bar, and one from a soi on bangla.
It were the first times i witnessed the strange "shy" thing with tg's. Still beats me: shower together NO WAY, hide under the sheets with the towel on, but a few minutes later they mutate into complete xxx godesses with no shyness whatsoever???? After which they sleep with you all cuddled against you, too good!
At the end of my holiday i barfined another bg, who didn't want to go to Kamala beause "muslim there cut throat bargirl, dangerous mak mak". Went to here room instead. This girl bored me senseless. She kept on talking about "falang man heart no good", "bargirl hab many pompems", ... after a bj called it a night and took of to my hotel.
Unforunatly it rained a lot and had to stay in my hotel on most of the evenings.
The last night i went to tiger disco with a few waitresses of the Belgian place, and what i saw there was paradise. I could have kicked myself not discovering that goldmine before.

Lessons learned : taking a patong girl to kamala was always somewhat of an issue for them because of the distance. Stay patong next time.
The hotel charged 1000 bhat joiner fee. Avoid this next time if possible.
Go to the disco's for meeting girls, and thus avoiding the barfine and a bunch of unnecessary ladydrinks (don't mind paying but you always end up paying more than you planned).
A next visit obligated!

Second trip: 2 weeks last april. Stayed in a room from the Belgian guy next to his restaurant in the heart of Patong 5 minutes walking from Bangla. Yes!!
Since this forum recomended Dragon a gogo i went there the first night. Took a stunner from there for a st. Paid way too much, but i was horny as hell and wasn't thinking with my brains. After that i met a girl in Tiger Disco with whom i stayed with almost the rest of my holiday. I figured it was more fun to have a travelling partner on my trips. Had a great time with her, did trips together, went to Phuket fantasea, simon cabaret, beach, shopping,movie, songkran,...
We went out every night and at the end i asked if could go out alone 2 nights because being surrounded by hot sexy girls alll the time was getting to much for me.
She agreed (although not being very happy about it), and i promised to stay the last days of my holiday with her (since i really liked her). I was with her for 9 days , paid her 10000 bhat (ok price?), and had two nights of naughtyness with some freelancers. As promised i stayed with my LT girl the last two days of my holiday (she didn't ask any money anymore).
Again i had a super holiday, no an even better holiday, so i must come back again (which will be probably this september).

This place rules!! The people are so laidback, the climate is top, and as far as the ladies are concerned this is absolute paradise for bachelors like me. After 2 trips i encoutered a lot of situations about thai culture and bg's of which i seen postings on this forum, which are quite funny sometimes.
My girl sends me sms-es almost everyday, so i will be seeing her again probably. I know however that she most likely will continue see other farang, so i will be keeping a down to earth view on it.

that about sums it up.

I have had the same issue with distances staying in Karon. Also 300 baht to go to Patong and 300 back, then 300 to send the girl home.

The idea of a Thai girl as a travel companion is very wise
she take care you.. in every way, they are very honest.

I tell my Tilak ....every trip to see her is a honeymoon.
and it is too. we both get really nervous and excited, I love it.
That's what holidays are for

oh yeah, 10 thousand bhat for 10 days is a little generous
I assume you have purchased a small gift or two on top of the 10K..
but if it doesn't bother you everyone wins.

don't get in the habit of calling/texting her all the time, it becomes boring.
You are off to a good start, enjoy every moment. cheers.

Well, the 10000 bhat is not including the fact i payed for the trips, most of the time food and drinks a few shirts and shorts and a hairdryer (?) she needed.
Didn't bother me, and she was not interested to buy stuff in the upscale shops of Central, rather preferred the cheap boutiques and stalls.

Indeed having a travel companion was a great experience. Had a translator all the time, was never alone, she take care of me indeed in every way.
The only downside is when you get struck with an urgent need to butterfly.
I just told her honestly, and wasn't liking it too "mut" (perfectly understandable). But she gave me two days of "freedom" as it was afterall my holiday and it was important that i had an as good as possible holiday. How cool is that !

It is normal that when you stick with the same girl for days that you pay for food, excursions and a few gifts. A few shirts, shorts and a hairdryer is par for the course. At 10K+ all seem fair.

10k plus all expenses is just about right
i think any less and you are being a little cheap

you did a good job and seems you had a ball
and it was also good, for you and her, that you were honest about butterflying, will help you in the end

what i use to do is hit BKK for 3 days, get all the butterflying out of my system, then hit Patong to be with my LT girl. then maybe have one last night in BKK before i head home

yep, you've got to hit the Bkk scene edje123. I hate crowds and thought i would'nt like it...wrong, it was great and i'll make sure i have 3 days next year also.
