Strangely enough quite difficult to find among the Beckhams, Lampards and Billabongs, you need to look but they are cheaper than the above (around 3 or 4 euros - 2K baht - if bought in bulk) - you need to ask for "Thai silk shirt" - the stall owner will look a bit blank as not many falangs seem to go for them - I've had guys nip to a neighbouring stall and get them. The point is that they have a breast pocket for small notes.

Normally I would never carry cash in my back pocket, but have done it on some trips. Problem for me once was that I forget to empty the back pocket as it is not customary have anything in them. That time, in Singapore, I send my trousers to be washed in the hotel with over US$600 and some local currency in the pocket. Wasn't missing the money before the next day; after the trousers had been returned empty. Went to the hotel manager, filed a report. He said I had little chance after so many hours had gone by, but he would investigate. 5 minutes after I got the room I received a call. The laundry service had an envelope with all the money, but did not know who it belonged to. 30 minute later it was delivered to my room.

I was lucky, but if you start putting your valuable in places you normally would not, you may be losing out.

I usually give my g/f about 1000baht "pocket money" so she has some money to spend if she wants to............however we went to MBK Ctr and she wanted to top up here mobile phone and asked for 300baht - I said "where is your pocket money"...........she said "at hotel in my pocket"............sometimes you just cant win......5555555555

Thai logical thinking Les. I guess most of us can tell funny examples like this.

I also give her arround 1000 Baht, so she doesn't have to ask me all the time. She usually spends it on food or water and phone cards. Or she buys small things for her daughter. But on the occassion and all of a sudden, she can say: Honey... money finish... 555555...

in front pockets. 500 baht notes are handy and smaller...
