Newbie with a short time!
Hello all,
I just found out that I will be in BKK on three different occasions in June. Unfortunately my stays will be rather short. I have read many posts and have tried gathering all the information that I can in order to make the most of my time. With that being said, I am seeking some advice from the old hands here. Each stay will only be for a day and a half. There will be more chances with longer stays later on in the summer, but for now this is all I have to work with. I am there on business and my company is putting me up in a very nice hotel. The only problem is that is near the airport and not near the action!
What would your suggestion be here? Hit the ground running and get to Nana? If so, should I just hit a massage parlor? Find a girl and get a room down there for the night? I have looked at the escort outcall services, but they are just too pricey!!! I am not cheap, but when looking at what the going rate is for one of the girls from the bar scene, I just can't bring myself to do it! Guys, I am looking for specific suggestions here.
Any and all information/suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks

Welcome to the board
I would book a hotel near the action. There are a number of resonable priced hotels near Nana. If you "have to" use the hotel in the airport, check in there and move on. You can even settle the account right then and there. If do not have to stay there cancel and rebook.
To get from the airport hotel to Nana, then back again with a girl (if wants to go this far) and finally a ride back for the girl will cost you about the same, or more than a room in town. If do not plan on bringing a girl back then it may be 6 of one and a half dozen of the other.
Depending on your departure time you may want to book for a day and a half (6 PM checkout). I do that quite often so I can have one final ST in the room before I leave. If I have a very late flight I simply get one more night.

Hi and welcome to the board.
I agree with Mr DK here that an idea would be to book yourself into a room closer to the action. However my advice would be to get a massage. In my mind would be better in the long run.

Hi Fred, welcome to the board. You already got all the suggestions, just a question out of interest, what's the price for the Escorts you have investigated ?

Thanks for all of the info guys! I guess I will just head down and find a MP. I know it's subjective, but I am looking for suggestions on which one to try. Also, what's a fair price so I know if I am getting taken or not. It seems I have read anywhere from 1000-1500. Does that sound about right?
To answer the question regarding escorts, I am seeing advertised prices in the 6-8000 range and up.
Thanks again!

Oops, that's still okay I guess if it is something special to try once or twice, but wouldn't have expected this from Thailand.

It depends what kind of massage place you are talking about. A soapie may start as low as 1500, however, you should expect 1800-2200 at the better places.
If you are referring to a traditional Thai massage or an oil massage (which I doubt) you should expect 250-300 for one hour and 400-600 for two hours. Extra service can range from 300-1000 baht, but is not a given that it is offered.

Thanks again all.
I just arrived this morning and have all day and night free. What time is good to be down where the action is? Also, I am planning on doing the soapie since I have to stay near the airport and have no room down there to use. Can anyone please suggest a few places in order to help me since I don't have much time to go 'shopping' for one? I will be back again on Friday for one day and again next week for yet another.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

If you go to the beer garden (no bar fine) on sukumvit soi 5 or 7,( I can't remember which)there are hundreds of girls there all day. Just pick one and bring back to your hotel or tell them you want a ST hotel. There is one very near by called the star inn, it is fine. Girl and hotel will cost about 1200 baht. If you want a real treat go to eden club on soi 7. Best 90 minutes you will ever spend for 3600 baht. very clean and well run, open all day long. Look up the web site for all the info. It only takes about 20 minutes to get from NEW airport to the action(Nana) so you would have no prob bringing girl back to your hotel. Sabai Sabai on soi 11 is a fairly good MP. Go down soi 11 about 100 metres you will see the sign. It is tucked in on a little street taking a left off soi 11.
enjoy and send us a report

Thanks for the additional information! I did write up a trip report for my first night and it got moved to level two. It's titled, Newbies first adventure, Cherry popped!
My second short trip turned out a bust as I was sick and just slept the time away in my hotel room. I just finished my second trip downtown! Had a great experience! I am going to write up a short report in level 2 I guess?
Anyway, I am going to save all the information that you provided as I will be back pretty much every month for the forseeable future! Gotta love my job!

The bar called the "Beer Garden" or "Bier Garten" is in Soi 7. From Sukhumvit it is a good 100 meter up on the left.

Thanks Mr DK. That's the right one on Soi 7.
Enjoy it Fredgarver. Just remember the earlier you get there the more choice you have.
