Phuket Thailand - Hello. Wish I'd found this board 6 weeks ago!

Hello people,

Been back nearly 3 weeks from my first trip to LOS. My life will never be the same. I've been lurking here since I got back - I've got to say this board has really helped me get my head around what happened.

My first few days back were spent trying to figure out how I was going to get that 'special' BG over to England. The next few trying to come up with a plan that would enable me to spend the rest of my life in Thailand. Morgage fraud anyone?

But I just kept on reading - I finished 'Private Dancer' in a single sitting, trawled through thousands of posts then, wham. Sharp focus. She played me like a freaking banjo!

It's like she planted something in my head whilst I was sleeping. I still just can't stop thinking about her. Even now, when I know what she was up to -pretty sure with hindsight that she even took me to meet her Thai boyfriend - and he works in a gay bar!

Well thanks BM's - without your help there's a fair chance I'd be about to do something really stupid.

We've all done something stupid. Most of us something really stupid. It's the really, really stupid things which are a problem. Best thing to do is to get back in the saddle. So when's the next trip?

Thanks for the welome guys. BTW I was mostly in Patong with one, very enjoyable night in BKK at the end.

Since I got back I've been working on good friend who wants a 2 week golfing holiday next year to celibrate his 30th. It's just got Phuket written all over it!

Welcome (again) to the forum Redeye , glad you got your posting problem sorted out.

Looks like you've taken time to do a bit of reading up on the board , hope the info has been useful and that you've a better idea about LOS.

just some advice
NYE and XMAS are the busiest time of the year
so book your hotels well in advance and they will be a little more expensive

if you at this time, you will meet a ton of guys from here at Love Bar, MTB and Hell's Bell's

i only went with each girl for one night, but there's still about four i think of all the time

maybe some day you understand why she did it. Why she wants to go with "farang" and maybe some day you see what her real life is.... but i don`t think so. (at least not in patong)

So maybe some day you understand her why she did what she did.

But at least you had a good time, or?

I already know the likely reasons. I also don't think I could ever fully understand.

I had an amazing time. I don't regret a second.

Bizarrely 'or' is the very nickname she used.

I think most men have been what you have gone through... And also Private Dancer is a good book. I wish i had read it before my first trip. (Actually did what you did, and brought it this trip and read it pretty much in one sitting)

At least you realised early and you will be much wiser next trip.

Ain't that the truth! Though Romford is full of bars with lots of young girls dancing in them. Its just not the same, in fact, I HATE ROMFORD!

I know how you feel on that one. I left Aus and went to Phuket for only 6 days but ended up staying just under three weeks!!!!!

Now I am in England and just started planning my next trip back for 10 days in September. Can't wait for that one!!!
