31 Days to go, but who's counting?
Sorry to be a pest but i have a few more questions before my "trip of a lifetime".
1) Why should you take a smaller photocopied version of your passport with you when you go out?
2) Will 4000k per night give you a really good night out?
3) I have been told to bring Aussie dollars with me and exchange them over there, is this correct?
4) Why do you need to take ID out with you?
5) If you could choose one place in Pattaya, that 7 Aussie men could go to, that is not too crowded, that has plenty of girls, and is a nice place, where would it be?
6) When a girl gives you a price, how do you deal with the Barfine. I mean, will they approach me before leaving, is it negotiable, is it included in the girls price. What should i say to the girl at the time?

1) You should have your passport on you at all times by law.....copy is usually sufficient
2) would say more than that.......6000 above
3) Yes, can do that
4) see 1)
5) Soi 7 or Soi 8
6) Girl will have it added to your drink bill
Have Fun / sanook

1) What happens if you don't have your passport, i mean, is it not a apin to have to carry in around with you all night.
2) 6000 ok thanks
3)I mean am i better taking Aussie dollars or not. Is the rate better from over ther or something
4) Ok see 1
5) Ok Thanks
6) I dont understand, added to you Drinks Bill. Is this how it works, you don't pay as you drink? Would you not get ripped off this way

Exchanging AUD for THB - it is better to do this in Phuket than here in Australia. So if you are a person who wants to carry a big wad of cash with you on holiday (I am NOT one of these people; I use ATMs) then make it AUD and exchange over there.
Generally in Thailand you don't pay for drinks each time you order a new round. They give you a little "bin" and into that bin goes a receipt each time you buy a drink. Then at the end of visit to the bar, you "settle" the account. The bar fine will simply be added to the account.
What you give the girl as a monetary gift is completely separate to that. And most BMs will tell you not to pay before you play.

You must be joking......l'm lucky to be a substitute after recent performances by some BM's.
Look out for a Scottish representive making a move to join the squad later this month.....word is he has been training pre trip, and plans to hit Patts with the same omph! that Maradonna hit the 86 World Cup.

hi irishozzy - get a Debit Card from your bank, they all have them, and load it up with most of your holiday money then use it at, almost, any ATM's like you would your Cash Card.
Take, say, $500 or $1000 in cash and change a small amount ($250) at the airport to give yourself some baht for taxi etc from airport to hotel then use your Debit Card to get out 10000baht at a time from the ATM's.
Keep all cash money, passports etc in the 'in-room' safe or the safety deposit boxes at the hotel reception and only take out as much as you need for the night.
As Mav says this could range from 4000 to 6 or 8000baht upwards depending on your drinking habits and how many girls you end up with....555555
As you have kept your passport in the safe - this means you have the photo copy on your person.
As the BM's have said the bar fine will be added to your drink bill at the end of the night, tho it might be a good idea to ask the girl how much it will be - as for her fee that between you and her but on average between 1000 and 2000baht for the night - plus do a bit of mongering but if you like a girl then maybe take her for a couple of nights and days - cos if you're going to Patts or Phuket you might like to take her to the beach during the day...........but (remember) what ever you do is...."up to you"..........enjoy

One more tip: when you use the ATM for upon your arrival, you may want to withdraw 9,900 Baht in stead of 10,000 Baht flat. In this way you already have some small notes for tips etc, in stead of the big 1000 Baht notes.
Some ATM machines also let you take 20,000 Baht in one shot. That may be good for the beginning of your stay, as you pay bank charges only once, in stead of twice if you withdraw 10K at the time. So save some money on the bank charges...after all I am still Dutch ...555555....
