UK Plugs and "visa run" ?

Hey all,

two newbie questions

1 - UK Plugs ... does the UK (3 prong)--> european (two prong) converter work in LOS?

2 - what is this "visa run" ai keep seeing on the board?

The UK plug will not work (except on certain hotels). The European (continental) 2-prong as well as the American 2-prong plugs will work almost everywhere, especially hotels. In some cases it may be one or the other. If I have understood right the American plug is the standard, however receptacles are generally made for both. Adapter are readily available in Thailand for a few baht. The voltage is 220VAC

A "Visa Run" is when someone takes a "short" trip out of Thailand when the visa waiver stamp is about to expire and return to obtain a new stamp upon re-entry.
