Wink Ceewye says HI~! +questions abt upcoming Phuket trip.

Found this site while surfin for Phuket info... gotta say that it sure helps to have a forum of "unpaid" people to ask advice from. i mean not commercialized....

Before i go off on a tangent... I'm CeewYe, goin to Phuket from Singapore by Tiger Air on 14Jun arrivin at 2140... I'm a malaysian and have been staying in singapore for... 15 years and in indo for 8 years... msia only 6 mths... -.-
Rite... so how's that for an introduction... I'm a GUY!!! i fergot... my bad... oh and im a chinky too! (chinese)

Now for 20 Questions...

1. I'm arriving at 9:40pm... is there still an airport bus goin to phuket town or patong? I read that taxi is "dangerous"... I'm fearful of becoming their bitc... i mean property... then commission and stuff...zzz...

2.if taxi, how much do we pay? metered or limo?

3. My friend who is an ex-travel agent told me to go there to locate a hotel and not by internet coz its low season and since we're gonna be stayin a total of 9 hotel nites. we can bargain hence cheaper. 3guys x 3 nites= 9 nites (He's a "know-it-all" so i dunno whether its good advice.)

4. We're planning to go to phuket to ENJOY the NIGHT LIFE... with the exception of GO-KARTS and BUNGEE...

5.Dangerous? from a regular's point of view... i dun believe everything i see from their website i'm afraid.

6.Cost? Is there anyway to get them cheaper? eg. use rubberbands tied together instead of a bungee cord. / get a go-kart that goes like the flintstone's car.

7. How much should we pay fer "NEGOTIABLE AFFECTIONS", assuming we have to pay for affections at all that is... lookin at what hansome buggers we all are... *grinz*

8. We arrive around 10pm. What time does the night life last till?

9. I've heard of a roumer that ALL the prettier ones belong to the mafia and to befriend them is to court trouble... any truth in this?

10. lastly... WATS A SOAPY????

Thx for your indulgence guys!!!

BTW... any guys/ladies in Phuket durin our 14-18th stay wanna meet up for cultural exchange or jus to show us the ropes or talk ****(slang in singapore for chit chat) or wanna have a drink on us. feel free to leave a note here. if there're any interested. i'll leave my e-mail.

THX AGAIN!
Regards,
C.Y

I am not sure about the bus, but limo taxi should be 550 baht, a meter taxi slightly cheaper. Its not dangerous, just politely say no if they try to sell you a hotel on the way.

Yes, may be true for some hotels as its quiet now. But honestly, 9 nights is not much of a bargain power, europeans stay here for weeks normally.

No, its not dangerous. Use common sense as you would do anywhere.

As for gokarts, the price range may be 390 up to 900 baht for the fastest one (125cc two strokes) for 10 minutes. Dont think you will get discount.

Its depends on the girl, but generally speaking 1500-2000 is common.

Some bar streets close 02-03 while discos and some bars close around 04-06.

No, not true.

A soapy is a massage parlour, you may get a body massage on an inflateable bed.

3 nights is nothing, like Nicke said, many Europeans tourist stay for weeks to months.

Check the online deals for low season. I have seen some deals like stay 4 nights pay 3 nights, and lots of other packages.

My last trip I flew by myself and had no problems at all, though I had a cab organised through the hotel that I stayed at. There are heaps of them around and as there is 3 of you travelling you should have no problem at all.

Around 450 - 550 baht will get you to Patong beach.

3 nights only??? Even though there is 3 of you I dont think you will be able to bargin that much but as you are going in low season is cheap anyway!!

If you take them from a bar you will have to pay roughly 300 odd baht then discuss further payment for the services/stay.

Q8. Most bars close around 3 ish though there are places open later.

Q10. Keep looking around, you'll find it....

Hope it helped.

If you're worried bout the taxi, arrange transport with the hotel you're staying with.

He hasn't book anywhere yet. Tell your taxi driver to drop you in Soi Sansabai, it is best located for Bangla Road, where you will find most of the nightlife. A lot of hotels, guest houses and hostels in the road to cater for most mid to low cost budgets, shared pool at end of road. If you want to book or look beforehand, Summer Breeze Hotel, Yorkshire Inn, Orchid Terrace to name just three, cheap at the guest houses will be approximately 500 baht per night (Lucky Leks), at the better hotels named above from 800 to 1500bht. There is a hostel in the road with one room for up to 8 people if thats your bag its the cheapest option but of course no privacy and little security.

Stop in at Mai Thai Bar in Soi Eric, half way down Bangla Road and introduce yourself to Nicke, within a few minutes I'm sure you will have more questions answered than you can think of.

Thankyou Pple!!!!

Thx alot guys!!!

I'll definitely pop by the Mai Thai Bar... and ask for Nicke... How's u recognise him? Does he have his name written on his forehead?

Anyway... I think I may jus book the hotel off the net... seems safer an option no? haha...

I'm sorry for askin question that have been answered b4... jus skimmed and realised that alot of my questions were answered already...

No offence to the forum sponsers.... Summer Breeze hotel.... but... if u sponser this... isn't it likely that'd u'd be able to manipulate ur hotel's rep? eg. give urself more rave reviews?? coz i realised that u either have the best and friendly place or ure the best liar around here... hahaha.... remember... no offence pls... I'm a sucker for conspiracy theories...
^^

Thx again pple!!!

yeha your a sucker for cospirancy. welcome to the board.

Bill whose board name is billpay, has just become a sponsor of this forum, not because he wants to manipulate is biz, but 'cause so many bm's have been going to his hotel thanks to the word of mouth on this forum. so: so as to give something back he is sponsorating this board.

You will not find a friendlier place to stay, nor one that replies efficiently to your email booking and puts themselves out for most of your requests, plus as I said before its located really well.

The reviews posted here are all from BM's who have stayed at Summer Breeze (myself included ) , and should give you some idea about the place.
