Hello to all
just wanted to say hi and thanxs for this great site.
I'm not exactly a newbie; i worked for almost 3 years on a long, small Island;-) near phuket...
...but I still found many infos and even moore great stories (mostly in the nightlife section...) in this site.
since over one month I am on a thailand tour with my red honda dream (from phuket over ranong, chumphon, hua hin, bkk, chiang mai, pai, ban mapha, mae hong son, mae sariang, fang, mae sai, chiang khong, chiang rai, chiang mai, phitsanoulok, kon kaen, udon, nong khai, vientianne, vang vien, luamprabang, vientianne, nong khai, udon, sakhon nakhon, nakhon panom, mukdahan, ubon, si saket, roi et and now in surin, going further to korat and then into cambodia...).
I will hit phuket again end of july for a cold beer and some fun...

I'm kinda new here so i got a few questions!
Just wanted to know how to post my owm thread?
Also I'll be in phuket from july 18 to 23rd, i don't have a hotel yet ,is it good idea to wait until i get there and hunt for the best deal or just go ahead and book it online?

BTW this is officially my first post,looking forward to have a nice cold beer at MTB

elayeaye, welcome to you too. Here are a few of tips for you.

• Read each of the stickies in the newbie area: Newbie Area
• Do some searches for find some answers. Most probably have been answered before, but it may take a little digging to find them. Take a look here for search help: The Search Function
• To start a thread, such as an introduction, go to the area you want to start the thread in (i.e. Newbie Area). To the left above the listings of the threads you will see this button:
  
• In July you will not have a problem finding a room. Personally I like to have my reservations in order so that I don't have to be looking when I get there with my luggage in tow. Up 2 U.

Welcome elayeaye. I would book my hotel prior to arrival...why go through the stress of walking around looking. I suggest reading the recommended B.M. hotels on the General thread. You certainly won't have any trouble getting a good deal this time of year.

you might want to have a look at this web site,the hotel owner, Bill, is a board member the hotel is small but nice very guest friendly,can book on line.
