Etiquette Question

Hello everyone,

I believe that this is my first post. I did search but couldn't find an answer for my question so here goes.

I am traveling to Phuket Next Friday and staying for 2 weeks. My brother lives in Chang Mai, but has secured use a house for us to stay at for free, while in Phuket. I want to bring the woman that owns the house a present, but I am not too sure what is appropriate. Can anyone give me suggestions?
Thanks,
Dave

i would try for something which reflects the city/town/state you hail from, eg a nice photograph showing notable buildings or a sea/harbour scene.

Thanks for the suggestion. Would you think a T-shirt from the Local Pub would be OK too?

How about telling us before what is the nationality of the owner? Is she Thai or expat? Are you travelling alone or with your wife/GF? Is the owner married and how old is she (if Thai nationality)?

I am going alone, but will be staying at the house with my brother. He is friends with the owner. She is Thai and married to an Austrailian (I believe). Not sure how old she is.
