Smile First ever trip to LOS
Finally booked my trip to Phuket!! Arriving 3rd November, staying for 14 nights. Trying to book guest friendly accommodation - the threads on this forum have been a huge help.
Not quite counting down the seconds yet; but plane tickets have pride of place next to my monitor!!!
Can't wait to be in MTB rather than relying on the webcam for views!!

thanks for all the welcomes and good wishes. I've booked into the Summer Breeze - kind of had my heart set on the SB from the beginning of my research here and any hotel that sponsors this forum has to be good!!

Hey Mojo,

Welcome mate! I agree with Nicke and many others will too. It's again the only place I stayed when I was coming here on Holidays and it's always high on my list of places to recommend people.

I stop in there most days on the way to the gym and also eat there quite frequently.

Mojo,

I am so envious of you and your first trip to LOS. I remember my 'first time', and the 2 months leading-up to it, and I have only good memories.

Before I went to LOS for the first time I had been told all about LOS, Patong Beach, Soi Bangla and the night-life by some people at work. I took-in all that they told me, and nodded my agreement and acceptance of all they said, but inside I was thinking it can't be just as they say.
My friends were right, and I was so wrong. It is a fantastic place, and you will have an excellent time. That's why I'm so envious!

Just remember, you never go to LOS just once! There WILL be other times.

And when you get back, you will be the one with the fantastic stories to tell, you will be the one telling your mates the info for when they plan their own trip.

Thanks again for everyone's welcomes. I know it's a bit sad; but I've made myself a kind of LOS advent calendar to count down with!!! Perhaps we should design an official one with a nice pic for each day left before arrival, sell it online and make our fortunes! (can tell I'm not much of a businessman!!)
Hope to see you blowing your candles out in the MTB, Masterwoodsman - if I make it that far on my first night: I may get waylaid or even just laid!!!
