Question Big Bike Rental

I’ll be coming to Phuket 1st week of October and like to rent a motorbike for a few days. My definition of a motorbike starts at 1000cc. R1 or Fireblade preferably. Can anyone recommend a decent and reliable rental location?

What are the rates for these bikes in Phuket? In Pattaya I usually get pretty good deals for 600-800 Baht/day for the mentioned bikes, depending on season.

Thanks a lot!

As far as i can remember the going rate was 1K a day, thats what they wanted from me for an R1, but it was my first time on a big bike ever so i opted for the CBR400RR.
As for rental places, i was recommended a place heading out to Safari nightclub, so i rented a VFR400 from there, turned out that the CBR i took from the beach road(which many will say dont do)was a lot better, just felt better, and also the one from the beach seemed to me to be in better shape and maintained as well if not better than the other.

sure someone will be along soon with better recommendations.

Simon

Thanks a lot Simon! Seems being a bit pricier than Pattaya. I heard some stories about Phuket, that they used to claim some damage to the bikes as you return it and cone some more money from you. I have been living in BKK for more than 2 years and regularly rent a bike in Pattaya…had never had any such problem. Actually I have never had any problem at all with renting a bike in LOS. But I never rented on in Phuket.

I used to rent a Honda chopper 600cc sometimes in the past, I only used two places. One was located where Jungceylon is now, I dont know where he moved (farang owner). And also from Soi Sainamyen, I never had any problem with claims.

Around 600 baht/day.

Welcome down to Phuket!
