I give up, how do I load an animated Avatar?

I have a simple .gif image that works elsewhere, all I get in user CP is "unable to upload animated images"

BAAAAAAAWAAAAAHHHH!!!

all depends if it is bigger file than the small size allowed(10kb i think)

Avatar import limit according to Control Panel :-

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 90 by 90 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

shame cos i got some good ones ~100k

Being limited to only <20KB is kinda low in todays world..

How about upping that ??

File properties are as:

Mine

7.16 KB (7,341 bytes) 32.0 KB (32,768 bytes)

Yours

18.7 KB (19,232 bytes) 32.0 KB (32,768 bytes)

This is why I am scratching my head.

Make sure its less than 90x90 also ??

Otherwise should take gifs.. I had an animated gif up for ages..

The control panel does state 90 x 90, however the limit was up'd to 100 x 100 some time ago.

I changed the limit to 50,000 bytes now. The max size is 90x90 or 100x100 depending on forum access.

hmmmm , just checked somethings... same for me , board status regulates what u can do... i cant load animated gifs or have a signature

note to self ...have to post more ... 'great post , have a good tour , bla blah blah'

This is a tough "board" H3X, I am on 30 post's and you are over 209.
I have a feeling that admin may be investigating.

If not, I am not worried, it's about LOS, not forums.

555 if u consider i joined same time as LiL ... my 200 v. 15,000 obviously does not give me enough MTB 'frequent poster points ' to cutomise my CP settings with gifs and signatures !

Everybody should be able to have anim gifs in avatar, I dont have a clue about signature settings.

I think you have to be in a higher level to be allowed to upload an animated gif as an avatar :-( Whenever I've tried I get a message saying "You cannot upload animated images".

Seems crazy because I can post them here>>

Ok, you were right. Anim gifs were off, Its now on for both avatars and signatures. Also increased size to 100x100 for everybody's avatar.
