Thumbs up Phuket here I come!

Hi everyone!

I've been lurking for a while and finally decided to place my first post. I must say I like this board, the info it provides and its sense of humor.

Coming mid October I'll be going to Phuket and thus will be my first trip to Thailand. I'll be staying there for some three months, so I'll probably sooner or later bump into some of you guys. See you around!

Welcome to the board.

Three months and the first trip ... that is impressive ... and will make many jealous.

Hope you enjoy your trip or should I say short residence.

Are you planing to visit other locations than Phuket?

Thanks for the welcome, guys.

At this point I only plan to stay in Phuket, but provided I don't break my budget I would love to visit other areas as well.

3 months!

How good would that be. Would have to fit a couple of weeks on Samui in there somewhere.

I seriously dream of having the ability to spend 3 months in LOS chilling out. Take a few cooking classes, a week of detox (if the will is strong), some fishing.....golf. Enjoy.

Lucky fcker..... but dont stay in Phuket for 3 months ....travel around and see Thailand , its cheap to travel.

tip ... ViP Bus (Luxury Coach) is going to/from everywhere, cheap as chips.

tip ... flying, book Nok Air and pay for your ticket in 7/11 after you get an SMS with a booking reference. You can be in Udon Thani / Loei / Chiang Mai in a few hours

IJ donated his right ball and Pinot his left ball ..... go forth and use them

555 - right there.... welcome Agni - I'm in Pattaya 5 to 14 Oct and Patong 15 to 25 Oct maybe we'll meet at MTB. Or on the other hand you might want to avoid me UP TO YOU !

Last day at work today and 4 sleeps to go.

Have a ball mate and def do the cookery thing (did mine in Chiang Mai with Pom the guy off the TV), it's great, but you're left wanting a burger at the end of the day...

Cool Welcome

Welcome Angi - three months is just long enough to do everything that the forum say you should not do.

Hopefully bump into you on your stay.

3 months that's what I call "long time";
welcome and have a great holiday!

if I would be staying 3 months, i would not stay all the time in Phuket however.
Find yourself a nice tg a make some trips together.

just my 2 cents

Same Same

I am not sure I could afford Patong for three months! The hospital bills would be horrendous!

If you can wean yourself away from Disney land for a short time try and look around the interior a little. It is interesting and refreshing. Of course if you are still walking after three months you will probably schedule a trip to Khon Khaen or Udan Thani anyway! 555 (That's where your GF will live).

Good luck.

Mac

Two weeks into my 3 week trip in May I split open my big toe (sober, when I did it) and limped around the final week. I also got bitten by a dog. The mongering took its toll. I guess I'm suggesting you might try and pace yourself. Take a look around LOS. Koi Samui, Chiang Mai, Bangkok alone takes 3-4 days to see the tourist stuff.
