Thai men [not like that!]

Thai blokes seemed to get quite alot bad mouthing from both TGs Ive met and BGs ,now is it all bollox do u think? ,sometimes with BGs it seems as part of the hard sell yet I always find myself expressing my own [biased I admit] opinion of English women is same same.

So does anyone here have thai male friends or do thai guys and maybe rightly so view us with contempt and ridicule our "choices"

G'day mate, I have quite a few Thai male mates, from various socio-economic back grounds...but one common thread they all appear to have in common is they don't put up with ANY crap from there partners....now, for some the GF experience from BG may be just that,but there are many that once their hooks have been sunk in will become quite demanding...these same BG, that I have witnessed with their farang "boyfriends", are quite different in all respects when in the company of their male counterparts....
However, this is only my opinion. Cheers.

i dont pretend any to understand thai males (or females for that matter), but they are difficult to get to know i think.

they seem to play their cards in close, unless they are with those they truly trust, as a farang it seems difficult to get to really know them.

bloody hell, the relationship between the farang vip/bg bf/gfe is a wonderment and amusement to me all the time. the shite these farangs put up with, a thai male would never put up with it, pulling money out of their farangs pockets to buy drinks for their bg mates, the loud talking and overt behaviour (some farangs like it)its just not traditional tg behaviour.

the sister in law and her husband seem to have a good relationship, but she is a strong willed lady and for a tg seems to put up with little of the rubbish some other women tolerate from their thai husbands.

amongst the thai males i have met there is a few i like, but they are solid friends of the father in law and from a different era, disciplined, respectful to their wives but always the boss on the important matters, i think those men are the exception not the common thai man,maybe their demeanour improves as they wisen up and age.

to compare a thai/thai relationship to a farang/thai relationship is almost impossible i think, for a farang to achieve a balance between the two would be about correct, but its only my 2 bobs worth and no doubt others will disagree.

Its very hard to generalize and before I start I should emphasize that there are I am sure great normal Thai guys.. I think the higher in the social standing people look the more civilized some of the following problems become.

But in the normal / poor classes of Thais some things are very obvious. Thailand is still a very macho and male dominated culture (look at how boys are treated v girls).. Thai guys seem to need to have multiple giks / mia nois to prove to other Thai guys they are manly, they are also very quick to give the missus a slap for stepping out of line. You wont see a Thai guy changing nappies or doing much in the way of child care and it seems the norm that Thai males will go out, get drunk, sleep with Karaoke singers, and miss behave (I know I try my best to keep this tradition alive in my household) and this is tolerated / expected.

Now that doesnt in any way mean a Thai woman would not prefer to be with a Thai man of a higher social standing then her, Its not considered such a problem if your hi so husband keeps a discrete mistress as long as theres a merc in the garage. However with Thailands very tight social class structure this is unlikely and the girls in bars (with kids and previous marriages) almost impossible. As Thailand has very little middle class only a huge rural poor this leads to a massive amount of Thai women who would like to upgrade from the low social standing Thai guys and not much chance to do so. Hence the Thai farang relationship boom.
