first timer

hello, firstly i would like to congratulate all who make this site possible
I read this site extensively prior to going to LOS as a newbie for seven
weeks in august,i was traveling alone but had no reservations and felt quite confident, ha naive is one adjective . My memory seems to be drip feeding
my brain about the experiances slowly slowly.
I traveled all around the southern gulf maybe went a littlle bit too far south at one point lucky to walk away, the andaman coast only spent three days
in phuket which i regret now on reflection the visa dictated for me to move on to ranong which contrary to what some people say i enjoyed the time warp
aspect of the place.Spent some time in Pattaya supose its a red or white wine issue, seemed very quite to me but i have no comparisons but still enjoyed it.
Problem for me was Bangkok became so magnetic spent four weeks there
in all the predictable places i was like a child.Massive crash course in Thailand if you introduce a FL in to the equation ha
This is also the first time i have posted on a forum so please excuse any mistake i make.

Hi and welcome to the board,
Like you, i stumbled across this forum and gained lots of info which made everything, flights, hotels, bars, p4p scene etc on my first trip so much easier.
Now waiting for my 4th trip to start in 3weeks time

Once you get the LOS blues, start planning to book another trip, makes life almost bearable then

Bangkok is something else, but as i hate built up areas i can only tolerate it for a short time. Like LOS the board has something for everyone.
Welcome!

Welcome, Sean! I am not a BKK sort of guy. If only the air was better!! I can't live without fresh air! Just feel half-alive breathing the stuff that passes for air in BKK. But, to each his own, I've 2 buddies, who love BKK and think Phuket totally sucks!!
