Hello there Suttoh and welcome aboard
I have just returned from my first sober visit to Thailand, and i would have to say it was quite hard for me, mainly because i have been approx 15 times and everyone of them involved getting drunk.
BUT i did still have fun, just a different kind, i found myseld going home earlier as everybody else was getting drunk and the jokes and things were not as funny as they would have been if i was in the same state.
I was drinking a lot of water(nestle being the best), and a lot of coke/sprite, one night i had so many coke that i actually felt worse than being drunk. another night i went on the red bull(Thai style, not fizzy one) and could not sleep at all. SO i found a happy medium of coke/water and also apple/pineapple juice. rambled a bit there and did not really answer your question about diet drinks, but anyway i may catch you in Phuket around the time you are in, you will enjoy it all the same.

Welcome to the board.
I am sure there are many bars that serve diet soft drinks etc.
But I can guarantee you can get a diet Coke at MTB.
Some nights I simply didn't feel like partaking in any Ale, so the girls at MTB ensured I had a diet Coke to "wet my whistle".
Enjoy your trip.

Hi and welcom to the board. Don't worry about being a non-drinker. I don't drink alcohol as well and had a great time. Moreover, still one lady finds me a very handsum man...
I don't take these diet soft drinks, but am quite sure that MTB has diet coke. I saw it in other places too. And also try those fruit juices. Good and healthy too.

I found that some of the fruit juices i had were worse than the coke, some were just plain and out of the carton, but others were out of the carton and spiced up with a lot more sugar and other things, prob not the best for a diabetic.
I will be in Phuket for a couple of weeks, arriving around the same time as you, so if you are in the usual BM haunts i have no doubt we shall meet, looking forward to it.

Hi suttoh
Welcome.
I am sure that you can have as much fun drinking diet coke as you can getting drunk.
And the bonus of no hangovers too...

Was going to say this, but I see the other Simon got in first.
Be careful when it comes to ordering low-sugar drinks because I have done that in the past and been given the 'wrong' drink. BUt as long as you complain nicely with a smile so that they dont lose face drinks will be changed promto. Apart from that, if you can find something in a supermarket or 7/11 that your favoured bars dont stock. You can always bring it to the bar and ask the owner to stock buy it.
Welcome to the board and enjoy your trip.
