Solo To Phuket With Too Much Advice
Hi there. I'm off to Patong 6/2/08 for a week after recommendations from quite a few mates who've been before. They've all been in my ear about what I should do in my week there. There's obviously a lot to do there.
As I'll be on my own it would be great to meet up with others in the same boat while I'm there. I presume MTB is a bit of a meeting place for members. It would also be great to hook up with some experienced travelers to LOS for a beer, my shout, so I can maybe get a bit of a run down on what I might do when I'm there. The LOS anticipation is killing me! I can't wait!

There is loads of stuff to do, what did your mates recommend for you??
I had everything planned for my first trip, got there, hit the bars and stayed in them until i left, no regrets about not having done anything on my list. Will probably just miss you this time, but sure you will be planning another trip as soon as your home.

Welcome to the board...Your from Oz...Hit the beaches m Lam Sing and Surin are highly recommended but there is heaps of others!!!

welcome, you will have fun only if you are tween the ages of 5 and 93 if you are the sort of person that doesnt mind striking up a conversation with a stranger you will find LOS the place to do it. Its heaps different from Oz, where you get a bit of "do i know you? why are you talking to me?" in LOS you get a lot of "oh hi, where you flom? how long you stay Phuket?" have a chat have a laff and then go forth and help other noobs TG2

Welcome to the board.
Keep in mind what your mates have told you to do for your week in Patong. But I would play it by ear. Once you arrive and soak it all up who knows just what you may or may not want to do. MTB is the palce to go on your first night......introduce yourself and go from there. Enjoy.

I won't have the energy the last group had.
Their idea is: bar crawl through bungla after dinner, Tiger after 1.00, drink, find a FL or two and back to hotel. wake up in time for breakfast send FL(s) on her/their way, day trip somewhere then back to the bar crawl after massage, and then its ground hog day again. oh and there's a power nap somewhere in between. For me the thought of soapy massages is enough reason to choose LOS as destination and might be the center piece of my day in Potong

just left patong after week for another week in pattaya before i am back to the desert. went to christins a couple times. they have a nice selection of ladies, and you won't be dissapointed.

Florry, I will be in Patong at about the same time as you. I leave the UK on the 6th, get to BKK on the 7th, and I have a flight down to Phuket on the evening of the 7th. With a little bit of luck I should be in the MTB sometime after 10pm.
I say 'I', but it's a 'we', as I'm coming over with a mate from work. I've been to Patong twice before, for he's a 'virgin', so I'm looking forward to seeing the look on he face when he sees Soi Bangla and all those LBFMs. There are no definite plans regarding what we will be doing each day, but I would hope that we can include a few visits to Christins while we are there.
