Hello, and Welcome to the board. I have no idea what you mean by elc, so cannot answer your question.

I have stayed in Summer Breeze, K Hotel, and Tropica Bungalows, and have not been charged extra for elc.

sorry folk, i had been reading posts for about day and a half, too much info going in but nothing registering after a bit lol, must of read it wrong, found it again, it was in accomadation and transport, under Yorkshire inn, it must be just apartments you pay elc for i hope, see the post below, can some one confirm this, also saw another one dont know if it was a apartment or not but can not find it.

I stayed there for 1 month between March > April this year. They've got a small safe in each of the rooms. Apartments themselves are very nice although the "Comfortable" sofa bed is a matter of opinion. If you stay there for a long period of time, try and get a quote on Electric Bill if you're in an apartment. Upon checkout the Thai Manager, or so he said, attempted to charge me 8000 baht. It went down to 6000 baht in a matter of minutes but i'm still 99% sure i got shafted.

I have traveled a fair amount in northern Sweden and Norway and been charged for "elc" .... come to think of it it was "elk", but nonetheless it was delicious and worth every öre (penny).

What`s wrong with writing electricity,if that`s what you are referring to and someone has asked you what you mean?

Places that refer to their accommodation as apartments, and offer cheaper rates for longer term rentals, do charge extra for elc(elec would have been a more suitable abbreviation) usage as you have asked.
And yes some of them will negotiate the cost.
Best to ask beforehand, but i think all hotels include it in the room rate.

Heh Peter Parker what sort of abbreviation is elc??? what school did you go to?? its accomOdation and its Phuket, english lesson over, no you will not be charged for electricity on departure normally from any hotel or guest house, they would normally state this at booking.
