Hello BM's,

I can't believe i've only just found this board! I've spent the last few days reading hundreds of threads (including the rules :P), i've printed out the abbreviations and now i'm ready to introduce myself!

I'm John, a young(ish) guy from London and i travelled to LOS (phuket) last year. I'm now planning another trip. My previous escapade was great, but because of a severe lack of planning/research on my part, i didn't get to experience anywhere near as much as i'd have liked. (the naughty stuff and the touristy stuff)

I stayed at the Alamanda resort, that was a big mistake. Everyday i was spending a small fortune getting taxi's around the island. My second mistake was only staying for 6 nights, it flew by.

Anyway, i'm planning another trip for later this year and hopefuly i'll be fully prepared!

i look forward to getting involved in the banter that goes on here and hopefully meeting some of you at the MTB!

Like you I only discovered the board late, after my second trip in fact.
But as you seem to have found out, a little research, and a little reading up on older posts and doing searches get you a whole bunch of useful information.
