Just stay home and watch naughty movies(with a picture in picture of the travel channel). same same...

But if you have already bought the tickets....

Have a read of Coolhand (Borad Member who lives in HK) ... he's written up some useful comments on places of interest there.

C&P from a post from last year. The poster lives in HK.

OK
Hong Kong is basically split into two parts Island and Kowloon. Both are much the same, and its easy to get from one to the other. On Kowloon side the main bar area is Knutsford Terrace and the red light district is Portland Street. I don't know Kowloon that well so I will give more info on Island side.
Bar areas are in 3 main spots: SoHo, LanKwaiFong and Wanchai. SoHo is more upmarket - wine bars, etc. Most places close by midnight, mainly expats and people in the know. LKF is a block of bars on cobbled streets, most of the bars are decent, clean tourist bars, but you will find a few girls on the game - notably in Insomnia and Bar George. Most close at 2am, 4am at weekend.
Wanchai is the main red light district, but has some regular bars as well.
Keep well clear of gogos - these exist for one thing only, to make your wallet empty. Your drinks are cheap at 20HKD (7.8 HKD = 1 USD) but the lady drinks are 200 HKD++. If you want a bj behind a curtain you will pay and if you want the girl to come back to your hotel be prepared to pay a lot!
Having said that there are several places to pick up Fillipinas Thais Chinese Indonesians etc. Here are a few:- Neptune II, Fenwicks, Laguna, New Makakita, Joe Bananas, Dusk 'till Dawn, The Bridge. All these are based around Lockhard Road, Jaffe Road towards the Admiralty end of Wanchai.
There are several good bars to go for a beer, but no p4p, Delaneys, Carneggies, Mes Amis, Devils Advocate, White Lion, to name a few. Some of these places cater for jet lagged people and are open 24 hours (the Bridge is one example)
Its hard to recommend somewhere to stay, because I don't know your budget and the hotel prices go up and down like a *****'s drawers, depending on what events are going on. If you can afford it, I would suggest the Rennaissance Harbour View - 4* hotel on the waterfront in Wanchai. Very easy to get anywhere from there.
Enjoy your stay.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another post from Coolhand.

One thing to make clear is you will pay 1 HKD in Hong Kong for every baht you pay in Thailand, its not really cheap! P4P going rate is 1000 HKD (4500 baht) commission drinks around 100HKD, etc. etc
Even tazis 15 HKD compared to pattaya baht bus 10-20 baht, Having said that come to Hong Kong and enjoy yourself, limit yoiur say to 3 or 4 days, plan what you want to do, budget for it and enjoy. I have been living here over a year and I stil enjoy doing the tourist things - I still have plenty more on my list to do.
Its cheaper for me to fly to Bangkok for a weekend than spend a weekend in Wanchai.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope this info is useful.

BTW, Welcome to the forum

No problem lyfish64. If you need further info on HK, send Coolhand a private message. I'm sure he can fill you in on any details you need.
