Should I *** to Phuket?
I've never been to Phuket due to people talking about wild prices, will i be able to get the same bang for baht, bahn for baht and beer for baht?
Is it as easy as it is in pattaya to walk the streets and find a lady within a few minutes and up into short time rooms? (I am not into he-raks)
I just fancy maybe a weeks holiday!
How many go gos is estimated? I reckon Pattaya has about 60-80 imo.

Sounds like you should stay where you are.
Phuket is great, but it's not Patts. If ya wanna come, come and enjoy.
Remember the first time is always fun. But, once you have your bearings, second, third, twentieth visits are aaallllllllways better.

its more expensive than patts...hotels like areca in patts[1k] would cost you over 2 k in phkt.

Its always nice to change environment for a short while, regardless of where you live. I like my short visits to Hat Yai, KL etc. (Too bad Pattaya is not on a visa run route so I havent been there for ages)

I always like to split my trip between patts and patong, best of both worlds and like Nicke says a change is always good...

good advice from M26 there.....in low season there is very little difference in prices between the two
If it's just a change of mongereing venue I'd say don't bother....but if you want to have a holiday including beaches, swimming, island hopping, canoeing, sightseeing etc then have a go......
it's still LOS!.....

I don't know about your experience of forums, but forums become redundant if you dont have the same questions, arguments and discussions, yes it does become tiresome, but after 14 months of being on one forum, 300 topics and 7000 posts, i just fly past the same discussions, the first 50 times i'll answer but after that, you let the newer guys answer, who arent sick of it yet.
I have never been in the phuket vs Pattaya discussion, even though i am creating one. I dont know anything about Phuket, but what i do realise, you have two different products, that you can compare but you shouldn't as both destinations suit a different clientele.

I agree, but sometimes you get somewhere and your deeply disappointed because your missing out on real good action in Pattaya.

Very sensibly done, i/we always arrange trips, but once we all get to pattaya, no one can leave, its a honey trap.

I'm not into sitting around, but taking a girl sightseeing sounds good, and maybe a bit of sports.

I stayed in Patong, just up the road in a nice hotel
We went snorkling on boat trips and elephant riding, we did trips up to a waterfall and canoing. It was good imo

The beaches are much better in Phuket than Pattaya so maybe that's a draw card for you.
