Read Suttoh's TR and you'll pick up a few tips on packing the most into your trip. Enjoy and I may see you as I'll be in Patong 7-14 May.

Good luck
Good luck and have a good time
I am curious as to how Phuket is marketed in Aus and the US
are there specific companies and airlines aimed at Phuket
it is a bit more word of mouth in the Uk or Far East Holidays etc
Seems to be a lot more Aussies in the last 12 months
good for Phuket
Regards
Drew

Every Sunday in the travel lift out section of the newspaper there are a lot of offers through various travel agencies advertising cheap airfares to Bangkok and cheap package deals to Phuket.
There is also a low cost airline operating in Australia, a subsiduary of Qantas, called Jetstar, who offer low airfares to both Bangkok and Phuket. These can be combined with cheap accommodation package deals which makes it all quite attractive.
According to one travel agent I know, Phuket is the new Bali for Australians.........so look out!

word of mouth in aus is big for references to los, since the bombings in bali there is alot of negative backlash in aus, but from what i hear bali is making a comeback but los is better anyhow.

It's also cheaper than a holiday here in many cases.
e.g random search.
Sydney $690 Kuala Lumpur
• Return economy class airfare to Kuala Lumpur
• 5 nights accommodation in a Deluxe Room
• Prices are per person, twin share
Sydney $551 Gold Coast
•Return economy class airfare
•3 nights in a Superior Riverview Room
•Prices are per person, twin share
I know it isn't LOS, but when they have things at these prices available where would you go?

Welcome
Better to meet "yous" at the MTB than ewes at the Kiwi Compound!
Jetstar doesn't fly from Perth but Tiger does as well as the Flight Centre specials.
Gold Coast and Broome holidays ex Perth are dearer than LOS and the drink prices are almost as steep as that Night club in Norway!
LOS - no contest!
