Hi another newbie with a Q

Hi all ive been a member for a while and have had some enjoyable & informative reading.

Im planning on a trip to Thailand probably early November starting in Bangkok then onto Pattaya.

From Pattaya heading down to Krabi, Phuket & Phi Phi Islands before heading to Kuala Lumpur.

Is that the correct order for heading down in, I know I can bus it from Bangkok to Pattaya, but what is the best way to get over to Krabi from there?

Also what is the best way to travel on land from the end of Phi Phi to KL, is it better to go from Phuket airport or is it worth another bus trip?

Thinking bout most time will be spent on Phuket hopefully about 3 to 4 weeks in various parts of the island, mostly in Patong area though

Are you travelling alone, with a girl or in a group? A solo guy might want to skip Krabi and Phi Phi and if you have a GF with you then maybe Pattaya is best passed by - travelling with a group of mates then all locations could be okay but I'd advise different modes of travel.....

Hi im travelling on my own, im just wanting to see as much of Thailand as possible, well within reason so thats why I picked more of the better known places, im wanting to do the touristy type stuff aswell as lazing about on the beach and having a few beers along the way, ive found out plenty things from the threads and was just trying to see if I can get a bit more info with regard to the travelling side of it etc.

How much time do you have? For each of the 3 bigger locations (Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket) I would not spend less than 5 days (perhaps 3 or 4 on Bangkok could suffice).

As said Krabi (I haven't been there) and Phi Phi would not be the best destinations traveling solo. Phi Phi is about 2 hours by ferry from Phuket and a fun (and beautiful) destination to go with company, perhaps with a girl from Phuket. Krabi is another 2 hour ferry from Phi Phi.

I have as much time as I need really, im planning on being away from bonnie Scotland for anything upto 6 months, probably nearer 4 or 5 but like I say can be extended, I was thinking about 7-10 days in Bangkok, 5-7 days in Pattaya same at Krabi. and anything upto a month on Phuket itself across the island.

As I said im wanting to do a good bit of sightseeing, visiting all things Thai etc, just looking for a bit of life experience in a way, elephant trekking and a bit of a scuba diving, things along those lines.

I was thinking of Jintana hotel aswell.
