And another one ...
Hello to all BMs. This is my first post on the forum - hopefully in time I'll be able to contribute some useful/entertaining pieces as I've already got loads of information from you guys for my impending, first ever trip to LOS : )
Less than two weeks to go & I can't wait, although I'll now be flying in solo as a fellow traveller has fallen by the wayside
Have to admit, as this my first ever trip to Los and I'm new to the whole BF/LT/ST/TGF scene, enthusiasm & excitement has been tainted with a little nervousness! Still, what is life without adventure?
Have sorted out my digs for BKK & Pattaya just got to finalise my arrangements for Patong.
Hope to call into the MTB for a few cold ones between 19-24 april if anyones around then?
All the best
Pullo

Welcome to the board....Yes I remember....the first time and alone! Just go with the flow, have fun and take your time adjusting. If you read the board then you will be somewhat prepared.

Thanks guys, good advice & I intend to take it!
Think the best thing is to treat the first trip as a learning experience & just roll with it. I'm pretty laid back anyway so I think it should suit me down to the ground.
Cheers

Welcome to the board. I'll be on my second tour, alone, between the 9th and 25th, so might run into you. If you visit ANY beer bar, you won't be alone more than a few seconds, believe me.

Sounds too good to be true can't wait to get there !
Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, but do any BMs know if the Club Bamboo is still Guest Friendly? Apparently it was was back in March 2007 according to Casino.
Have tried emailing them but get no reply Really like the look of the place.

Welcome to the board Pullo. Being alone is often the best way to tour as you do not have to fit in with anyone else's plans. just make it up as you go along.
Enjoy your trip and put down the inevitable mistakes to learning for the next trip....

WTTB Pullo, take note the 19th April is a bar closed night, think from 6pm until same time following day, so suggest checking your flight times to know if you have time to get an early session in the afternoon.

Now that you say it..you are right.5555 I think the same may happen next week.
I'll revise my statement: I heard being on your own is the best and have seen others having a blast at it

Hi Pullo welcome to the board. Indeed visit the MTB and introduce yourself to Nicke, the owner and he can point some fellow BM's. And don't worry, you won't be alone too long.

Thanks for the WTTBs guys I look forward to meeting anyone who's about in the MTB around 19-24 April
Can't wait to escape the UK - woke up this morning & there's 4 inches of snow outside! This is Southern England ...
All the best

Club Bamboo is nice place but a bit away from action
as it is your 1st time, id suggest booking somwhere else closer
check this site for hotels in patong
and you can always call them and quote the rate and they usually will give you that rate
Patong Villa might be a good place for your 1st trip

WTTB Pullo.....good advice there from M26...Club bamboo is about 30 mins walk down to Bangla or a tuk tuk drive away.....and you don't want to be at the mercy of those guys early in the morning

hi mate and welcometo the board... I agree with the BM's its a little too far and there alot more hotels around and much closer which are known to be GF... I tried to book Club Bamboo a while back and im not 100% sure but i dont think its GF, i could be wrong but i didnt book because it was too far and at night when your pissed and you got a lady wrapped around you all you want to do is get back to loom asap..
Good Luck..
