Spending 2 weeks in LOS, what to do.....?

First of all, hello to all the BM's on this forum. I've been lurking on this board for a while (lots of great info on here btw) and now that my trip is only a few weeks away, I thought I would finally register and introduce myself.

So hi to all, looking forwarding to meeting you guys, hopefully even having a beer with some of you

Now on to my question.....

After several 1 and 2 night stopovers in BKK, I liked LOS so much that I thought that it deserves a full fledged visit. So now, I plan to take a 2 week trip (maybe even 3 weeks) around the 12th of May. My plan is to spend my first few days in BKK and then head out to Samui for the Full Moon Party (On the 20th of May) Other than that, I have no concrete plans....

I wanted to ask the BM's what you guys would do with your two weeks (i.e. where would you go, where would you stay, etc) and any other details you would deem necessary. I've done plenty of reading on the forum and have a good idea of what there is to do out there, but I'm interested to know what some of you guys suggest.

Looking forward to hearing your suggestions.....

Welcome to the board.

What to do, well depends on what you like, but things I like to do in Thailand are fishing, diving, shopping and of course have a "few" drinks

Can't really give you any tip's on what to see coz I have been mainly to Patong and Phi Phi. But I would think there are lot's to see around Bangkok, palace's, temples and stuff...

Gday Blayze...is that a Louis L'Amour character?...Welcome....

I have been to Phuket (several times), BKK, Chang Mai, and Krabi. As Datsun says, depends on what you like. Whatever you want to do will be a lot cheaper than home, and Safety regulations are a lot more "relaxed". Things l have enjoyed is Girls, Shooting, Go Karting, ATV, Girls, riding around on a little motorbike, sightseeing, Girls, swimming, time with BM's, shopping, Girls, and just relaxing......

have a great time.

Welcome to the board.

As already stated, lots of places to go.
One thing to consider it to limit the number of places you go so that you do not spend too much of your time traveling and checking in & out of hotels.
You might want to consider staying at least 5 days in each location, except if it a specific short excursion, such as visiting Phi Phi island while in Phuket.

A full day tour to Phi Phi including a one night stay is in my mind a top 1,
in reality you use 2 days, departure from hotel 8 in morning and return back 1800 hour next day.

But as you already have planned 2 days in Bangkok and a visit to Samui,
then Phi Phi is maybe not the time.

In general I could stay on Phuket forever - but have to stay here in Denmark and work
I lived for one year in Phuket som years back, did not have problems using my time.

No mather if you visit Bangkok, Samui or Phuket - try to go out run with Hash House Harriers. They meet once a week and run/walk 5-10km, you will get new friends and see something special. Search on google for location and meeting place.

Tough call, but if I had 2 weeks in Thailand --- and intent on going to the Full Moon Party (which I’ve always enjoyed, by the way) --- I would probably skip Phuket altogether.

This of course depends on the “mongering-factor”, but I would personally spend 2 – 3 nights in Bangkok, head down to Samui and spend about a week there. (I would ONLY stay on Samui, by the way, and not on Koh Phangan. Just take the boat back in the morning.) The last few days I would spend in Pattaya.

If you chose to extend it to 3 weeks, then Phuket might be an option. Just note that the weather is usually better on Samui in May. I should still be easy to book domestic flights in May.

You could also visit Pattaya fun with lots to explore.

Bkk Fly to Phuket then fly to Pattaya with a stop off in Samui on the way then a taxi back to Bkk from Pattaya.

Hey Blayzeit, wtb. My number one rule when coming to LOS is my arrival & depature date are set. I just go with the flow as soon as I'm on the ground.

will depend largely on whether you are hell bent on chasing Thai Girls for 2 weeks or whether you want to have a real holiday

If its a holiday I'd say Samui, Chang Mai + a couple of days of BKK

If its for the gals as well....maybe Pattaya or Phuket (depending upon how hard core a monger you are) as well as Samui
