Freshman heading to Phuket in June!
Hi All,
First and foremost - thanks for all the great information provided by these forums - it makes planning a holiday a bit more of a breeze.
Anyhow, I'm Jayden, 20yo student living in Perth. Myself and 3 of my best mates are being shipped (partly funded by our parents) to Phuket as joint 21st birthday celebration.
Since booking the holiday in January, the wait has been painstakingly slow, but I'm sure the holiday will be well and truly worth the wait.
We are staying at the Patong Beach for 8 nights, and it is the first time any of us have been overseas with out family, for 2 of us the first time to Phuket, and for one poor bastard, its the first time even overseas!
As long as the weather behaves itself (am i kidding myself - this is the tropics!) - i think we are in for some good times.
Be prepared for some newbie questions closer to the trip (5 weeks and counting)!
Cheers,
Ranger.

Welcome to the board. Keep on reading the board as I bet there will be questions answered that you would have never thought to ask...and the info will be useful for your holiday.

Sweet, chances are we'll probably bump into you. I'm going to try and get along to MTB on the day of arrival and try and absorb a bit of our new surroundings.

Yeah, go to MTB and introduce yourself, usually lots of BM's around there. I will probably be at MTB also drinking the finest Thai whisky around, 5555

LOL, yeh i didn't want to use the term 'newbie', don't hear it often around here - i was using it more as a joke. But hey OZ is fast becoming yankanized - its scary - look at the crap they play on VH and commercial radio.
Cheers,
Jayden
