Phuket Thailand

Hello everyone, I have been lurking on this board for a couple weeks and this is my first post. I'm about halfway through a 12 month deployment to Iraq now, but I'm planning to visit Thailand when it is over. I will be there at the very end of October and the first 3 weeks of November. I am spending a weekend in Bangkok when I first get to LOS, and I'm also planning to go to Chiang Mai for Loy Krathong. Other than that, I will be in Phuket. I already got a hotel room near Patong beach, thanks to the information on this board.

I was in Phuket for a weekend once about 8 years ago, but I brought the girlfriend with me that time. This time I will be solo. I was wondering if any other BM's will be in Phuket/Bangkok at the time I am there. I have learned a lot about how things work in LOS from reading this board, but it would be cool to hang out with some guys who have the inside track on the place, and know where to go and what to avoid. There is no alcohol allowed in the Sandbox, so I also need help building my tolerance back up.

I learned after my first trip not to bring a girl with you or sand to the beach..well she actually introduced me to LOS, but had to make myself single again after.
