no tours/trips left?? - please advise
no trips/tours left, need advice?
when i returned from los for the 3rd time in april, i seem to have done all the trips/tours available - bangkok temples, king palace - floating market, river kwai etc - phuket, phi phi, james bond island, coral isle, white water rafting which i recommend, snorkling, hired a jeep and toured the island - promthep cape etc and koh samui, big budda, fishing, eco tours, golf, koh panang etc.
what do you do when you run out???
i love the place but if i cannot fill most days in, it will turn the trip into a drinking holiday, which is why i started to go to los in the first place instead of the usual euro resorts.
anyway i must stop bleating on, sampled the songkran festival this year and what a blast i had. i heard many storys but i was not prepared for a soaking at every turn, especially the bg's ice cold bucket down my back, to which i replied F**K ME!! and the bg's sharp reply was YES PLEASE 1000BAHT!! ahh happy memories.
went back to my youth, ducking & diving with my super soaker.
just noticed the adverts at the left of this page and seen the white rose apt's, stayed there this april i can say there excellent and would recommend.

Tours are just tourist attractions.
Getting to know Thailand can happen at many levels.
Here are some suggestions:
You visited nature, but what do you actually know about the ocean, plant and animal life in Thailand? There are great opportunities to learn and study and go on informed trips.
You visited temples but what do you know about Thai Buddhism? Many things can be learned.
You eat Thai food? Do you understand how to make it? Take some Thai cooking classes.
You had traditional Thai massage but do you know how to give one? Get some classes on Thai massage.
Develop a friendship with some educated Thai people, learn about their culture and the cultural differences.

I booked a trip with captain Mark of Welcome to Phuket Sail Tours! Chartered and Day Tours through Phang Nga Bay. since I had read many good reviews about him on tripadvisor. Can't give a personal review about it because it got a bit late the day before, so I overslept and missed the trip .

Hi and Welcome
It is always worth trying a place at least once like pattaya you could stay near there in Jotihem, also how about Kon Chang, Chang Mai to name a few.
You go and see a Mai Thai boxing fight, a lady boy show, shooting, jet skiing.

done the thai boxing in samui, jet ski in samui & patong, always fancied chang mai but its when you get spoiled, get used where you've been and feel comfortable its always the unknown that misses out. chang mai was my 1st option this year but the group i travel with voted otherwise so we missed out bkk/chang mai and went to hong kong which was excellent although very exspensive. most of the bg's there are top draw, mostly phillipino's with a larger chest which is never a bad thing! but i think you pay for what you get. the lads tell me its approx £60 long time.
i will keep reseaching for next yr's trip and im sure if theres not many trips/tours left i will fill my days in - los is never a place i shall get bored of-ever!
thanks for the ideas thailearner

Ayuthaya is worth a visit to see all the old temples etc. you can do a day trip from Bangkok, go up on a bus and back by boat, Or spend a couple of days there and make your own schedule.

I take pictures of food carts. Have over a hundred. Each is different in its own way and has a beauty signifying life that I can only hope to understand. Have taken many before I realized that they were all taken between 7Pm and 10PM.
Now, I get to go take the pictures all over but at different times of the day. This will mean I have to go back about 6 more trips. Now that I have written this I realize, they should also be taken at different times of the year: Spring, Summer, etc...
Well, 4or 5 trips a year for 4 o5 5 years. Then I will start on 7-11's.

why not try krabi stay at ao nang beach it's a quieter version of phuket lot's to do and see, then head down to ko lanta it's very lay back here sea/beach most days bars open till late in night, quiet compared to phuket but very relaxing.now your fully relaxed head back to phuket and get really wasted for whatever time you have left, you'll go home feeling great and will want to return asap. "Motto is to make your own tours and really enjoy this country" and stay away from tourist crap tours

There are so many places you can still visit.
Try for example Koh Chang.
Koh Chang is one of the biggest thai islands, where you have all you need in terms of infrastructure. Good hotels, decent restaurants and some bars.
The western side of the island is the more developed region (and therefore more touristical) as the eastern side is by far not so developed but still worth a visit.
you have great beaches (some are really laid back and quiet with a lot of backpackers) and lots of possibilities for day tours for example, Koh Mak or Koh Kood.
I visited Koh Chang twice but always invited my lady to come along, as the choice in p4p bars is not huge and you don't find as many stunners as for example in Patong.

Have you tried diving, try a look at the other half of the world. If your in reasonable condition, do a scuba course anywhere in LOS, a couple of days to do and loads of fun, then you have it for your whole life and can use it all round the world and that can open up a complete new world. LOS has many different and unique dive sites to adventure in and amazing things to see.

Have you considered renting a motorbike and exploring all the hard to get to beaches in Phuket? Great fun and very inexpensive!
