Latinolife, did you get a reply from T Terrace an if so how did it stack up for you? I am coming to LOS next in August and am debating staying there cos things were cool or trying somewhere new just for the alternative factor.

Hi Sunem, most probably you'll see me there and I also read something about BBQ parties in which ladies are invited and they even prepare the food... Hehehe sounds really great and friendly to me espcially if you're travelling alone. I'll PM you to ask a few other things, thanks!

Howdy Dodger, nope I never got a reply from T Terrace nor did I from this other Casa Breeze place I even used the company's mail address to avoid using Yahoo but nope no reply... ... So it looks like Victoria will be my second place of residence

Stayed in Sand Inn the last time I'm in Patong. Nice room, friendly staffs and of coz no joiner fee. I'm such a lazy ass that I only pick a room that is closest to bangla Road.

Shit pomfrite , the rooms are gorgeous and the pool even so... The rates are a bargain for such great rooms and for being high season... Geez I love a place with a big pool... Thanks for the tip!

Dang! Thanks for the info... I immediately take back my previous comment... I almost got my self fooled, thanks Diz. Thou I gotta admit the rooms still look fine to me, but god knows what trick lies behind those pics...

i did asked the staff bout the pool.... and yup, it's located at the other end of Soi Sansabai... sorry for not mentioning it before... the rooms are quite ok... just have to choose carefully... a few of the rooms have combined single beds instead of King sized.. the staff was kind enuf to let me drag his ass to 4 diff rooms before I decide... the corner rooms nearest to the stairs are the best.. some would think that getting a room just beside the main road will be too noisy but I disagree.. it's just convenient to walk less than a minute to your room after getting drunk at Rio's

Well a pool is not very important if I'm gonna stay just for one night, however it would be nice with a morning swim after a busy night... Anyhow I do have it covered at the Grand T but the again, I have to go all the way there to have my morning swim and that sort take away half the pleasure...

Hehehe... That's very much OK and I can almost assure you, I won't give a damn if there is a pool or not after 5 beers or so and besides if I check in at such a place, it won't be to go swimming... The most important is a reasonable price and short distance from Bangla... ...No need to mention guestfriendly...

Thumbs up BAAN LAIMAI BEACH RESORT & SPA

I just got back from Patong and stayed at the Baan Laimai Resort. This was with no joiner fee and the cost was 1500 baht a night. It is located right on Beach Rd and is within walking distance of Bangla Rd. Ask for a room by the pool and also try out the restaurant which is good as well..........Enjoy

Hi All,

A question about these guest friendly hotels. Do they (in general) have a policy when your guest should leave e.g 7am, 12pm or "up to you"?

Guestfriendly means you dont have to pay joiner fee... In other words Andatel is not guestfriendly.
On the other hand, 300 bath is not so much money....

If the hotel is truely guest friendly you will pay NO JOINER fee and your guest can leave whenever they like.

i stayed once at the andatel when the salathai was fully booked. personally, the
hotel is ok but the distance is a little too far to soi bangla. then i paid no joiner. if you add the joiner to the room rate and the tuk-tuk/motor-cycle fare plus the time spent
going up and down, i guess i would rather be nearer to bangla. cheers.

Diamond Cliff was NOT joiner friendly in 2003...they wouldn't even accept a fee.

Maybe your rates in switzerland is a lot different from here in Sweden because 4200 baht to have a guest at the room every single night isnt any big money in swedish crowns
