does anyone know if there are any freelancers in the karon beach area? thanks for the info...

there are bound to be some there bigorange ,but why risk a freelancer when it only costs peanuts to barfine a legitamate lady ?

well, watch out, there is tons of lb's walking around the beach rd in karon. you wont find any fl's becaause there is no discos

right. sometimes i think there are only lbs at the beachroad....

My experience is that the part round the stadium is only LBS

I always stay in the part of Karon just inland from the traffic circle going up the hill towards the temple. There are a couple of dozen bars in this area and barfines are under 250 baht. I haven't bumped into any freelancers there and have spent quite a bit of time on the beach (daytime) without bumping into any freelancers of LB's.

With such low barfines, I find it much easier to get round the bars enjoying a few drinks and chatting and getting to know the girls before making a choice.

That way, you make a more informed choice and you have some security from the bar.

I had no idea there were any bars in Karon with girls, let alone that many! Is Kata Beach similiar? Again, didn't know there were any bars like that there, either. This is one reason why I'll consider myself a bona fide newbie until I make at least 6 trips to paradise (aka Phuket)!

Howdy gents,

I think I have learn alot from you guys and pretty much the best piece of knowlege is to get one's butt to Mai Thai Bar upon arrival and take it from there. It's clear where to look and how to look for a sweet lady after dark, however is it possible to do so during day time? I mean around lunch time or so? If so, where to? The beach? Outside Patong? Greatful for any advice.

Hi Apollo,

I am a newbie too and will be making my 4th trip in October.

Between both parts of Karon and Kata, the number of bars must surely run into three figures and most of them have girls you can barfine.

I know the part of Karon between the temple and the traffic circle at the seafront best but I have explored the other parts as well.

plenty of girls in karon
ive just got home after 9 months and my gf will look after you no probs
shes just gone back to work so she s eager to make up for lost time
plus she s saving up for a new better room which i stay in when im over
