Phuket Thailand

This forum is awesome. I've never been to Thailand but after reading through here I feel like an expert. I'm going to be in Phucket June 20 for 10 days. Unfortunately, I'm meeting my brother and his new wife there. His idea of fun is relaxing with his wife and playing newlywed games.

So either I bring a book or make some new friends. So if anyone spots a lonely Canadian sitting at a table (or passed out under it), say hi and I'll buy you a beer.

Get out late at night after they go to bed 11pm (just starting to warm up then) call into Love bar or Mai thai bar and let them know your a board member usally plenty others there to have a drink and chat with,if not plenty of girls there anyway.

I very much doubt any SWM will stay lonely for long in Phucket - its not in the nature of the place.

My brothers wife is Korean and I've never met her. Is there any predjudice between Korean and Thai? What I mean is, does anyone see any problems if I'm hanging with a Thai girl? What do the non BG's think of the BG's?

some nonbg`s looking a little down on the bg`s, but i think you can handle that.
Others don`t have any problems.

For this type of situation where you will be wanting to hang out with your brother and his wife, my advice would simply be this....

Make sure you choose a bg that ain't some 18 - 19 yr old and new to the scene, particularly if she don't much speak english and has just come fresh from the jungle.

This could make scenes at say a restaurant very uncomfortable for you, the thai girl and the couple. Try to find yourself a lady maybe mid 20's that knows the score, is happy, vibrant, communicative, intelligent & wise.

There are plenty of women in patong who fit these catagories so choose wisely and you will have a far better experience.
