Phuket in September?
Have been reading through the newbies section, what a great forum with some excelent posts!
I'm thinking of going to Phuket for the first time at the end of Aug through September but have read that Sept is quietest month and also the wettest. Is this the case? If so, is the nightlife still ok - dont want to turn up and its deserted! I spent a week in Pattaya in May and was blown away with the nightlife and was quite overwhelmed by it all to be honest. I seriously enjoyed it though, was exhausted after just a week!
I'm looking for a bit more balance this time, I'm there for a month or so and want to chill out a bit more, do the sightseeing stuff as well as doing the BG and GG scene. Phuket sounds like the place for this? I've heard that there are fewer bars & gogos in Phuket and therefore fewer girls, is it as easy as Pattaya to organise some female company, are the girls as friendly, easy etc? Or is it better to wait until later in the year or go back to Pattaya instead?

Actually I think the wettest month is October still plenty to do and plenty of girls around better bar scene in Patong than Pattaya and quite a good club scene as well although not so many gogos, although this could be changing a couple of new ones just opened recently.
If you want balance I would say Patong is the spot, you won't regret it stop buy and introduce yourself at MTB and you can't go wrong.

Yes, I stay MTB almost every night. The numbers of BMs is up and down, last week we had 8 BMs in the bar and today maybe 4-6 BMs, not at the same time thought. But usually there are few/some BMs in MTB all year round.

Cool and thanks! It would be great to greet someone or a few "familiar" people upon arrival since this is the first time I'll be going out "on my own" usually people go out in pairs or with a bunch of friends, and so do I so this will be new to me... I hope you open by 8-9 pm coz that's the time I plan to start marching to your bar...

September visit
I'm over in September and you are more than welcome to pop around to Patong Villa for Aperatifs, cold Tigers and a bag of crisps round the pool.
I'll be the very Hansum man face down in the pool, or if at the MTB, face down on the bar, or on the beach, face down on a sunchair (unless it's raining then it's face down on a sunchair -under an umbrella!)
If I am in my room I'll be face down in..............No, No, Nooooooooo..........Bed, havin' a Kip.
Unless her name is something else!

I am hoping for September too, it's usually a good month. Not too busy so plenty of 'company' to go round and the weather can be really good.
I was there August last year and the hotels were all full, weather good with a little rain most days to freshen it up. Maybe see you there.

September!!!!
I too will be in Patong in September. Likely from the 5th to the 24th. Can't wait to get back to Phuket, it has been over a year since my last visit. Looking forward to seeing Nicke at the MTB and meeting some new BMs.
Havent booked hotel yet but it looks like this Patong Villa is quite nice. Their rates are rather high on the internet for what I have heard other BMs getting.
Denver; What rates are you getting. Will likely be staying there. I'll give you a tap on the shoulder when you are face down in the pool!!
Cheers,
Ashley

Hi Ashley,
I thought I was going to be there all alone too! Seems like there might be one or two of us around. Good news.
I'm paying 1400 at Patong Villa (I can afford it, it's my holiday and I like the place) I had a good chat with them by email to sort out the details and just re-confirm that I can do all the things I want to do there, if you know what I mean Surasak who you will deal with on line is always very helpful and will always iron out any niggling doubts you may have. There is no 'joiners' fee.
They let me pick my room (Poolside) and if it isn't busy when you get there, they may just bump you up a grade of room if you smile broadly and ask!
I still always keep copies of emails from any hotel that have promised there will be no charge for this, no charge for that. You can always wave it under thier nose if you find it all on your bill at the end of your stay. If that happens, Surasak will sort it.
So there you have it Ashley, if I am face down in the pool, don't tap too hard!! I may be practising my ancient Lancastrian Martial art of "Breath-through-the-ears' in preparation for some serious rug munching in the early eve!
Just clink two bottles of Tiger together and I'll hear ya! Take care Ash!

clink clink!
Thanks for the info on Patong Villa Denver. I will email them and see what I can get worked out.
I think by the sounds of it September is going to be one hell of a party in Phuket. Lots of BMs around and not so busy so the pickings of the ladies will be top notch.
Counting the days down now! Only a month away!
See ya by the pool. Hopefully I'll be the one inbetween a couple of sweet LBFMs! Come on and join the party!
Cheers,
Ashley

I Depart 24th!
Hey Hitman,
As you arrive on the 24th - Just take a quick peek over at Departures! You'll see a 'Not so hansum man anymore' banging his head against the wall and kicking his suitcase as the time for him to leave the LOS gets closer.
Come over, put your arm around me and say "There, There Denver -There's always the next time" and then you can have a laugh as you jump into your taxi down to Patong!

I am just trying to find a consolidated list of who will be there when I am (September) If you can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. If it blatently obvious where I can find that I promise to give myself a good slappin'
