Phi Phi OR ANOTHER ISLAND FOR A FEW DAYS?

Hi everybody,
This is my first posting here and I must say it is a great source of information for newbies.
My question is this. I am staying at the Diamond Cliff for two weeks starting 27th august. Firstly-is this a good hotel.
Secondly-I want to get away to one of the islands for a two night/3day break and I was thinking of Phi Phi-but are there other places worth visiting instead. I was on Phi Phi 6 years ago and I loved it-but maybe there are equally beautifull places that I'm not aware of.

Welcome to the forum

Due to Phi Phi still not recovered from tsunami damage and much rebuilding to be done, I would suggest Coral Island might be worth a look.

With regard to Diamond Cliff Hotel, I have no experience of it but read this thread and make up your own mind.
