Day time activities

Hi all,

Can anyone give me a rough idea of the prices for atv Quad bike riding and Go kart track racing in patong? Can't be arsed to have to go there to ask and maybe not be able to afford to go.

Also any ideas on mad stuff to do between drinking and drinking would be good too.

PS Also if anyone knows what price i should pay to hire a jet-ski as i dont wanna pay over the odds.

thanks in advance guys.

go cart charges

With some negotiation it was 1000bht for 30 mins

The standard rate was based on 10 minutes and 20 minutes, seemed surprised if you wanted a longer ride

Get a massage booked up for post go-cart 2 hours as your back will welcome it!!

Yeah that sounds about right, We paid about 400bt for 15mins on the fast go-karts, And I think it was the same for the motorcross and quads.

PS: Thats also good advice by caerphilly about the massage, I done a 1/2Hour on the go-karts and I was shattered after it, The heat is a killer and your back does be fu*ked.....

don't know about about the go karts but i know that you should be paying about 500 baht for 30 mins on a jet ski this may take some persuading but i have never paid more than 500

absolute new bee here. ticket in hand to arrive in patong on Oct. 27. I'm looking forward to folding myself into a kart, hopefully some other bm's will be in town as well. Another day time question - Is it worthwhile (and reasonable) to rent a midsize mc,(no mopeds or liter bikes) and cruise the island for a day. I've heard the dangers but i ride in LA pretty regularly and have a swivel head.
thanks

I was there last week in patong, the big jetski was 1200 baht for 30 minutes but it was scarily fast, i really dont understand the pricing as i also rent a VFR400 motorbike for 500 baht for 24 hours, that means i could rent 2 400cc bikes for 2 days for the price of a jetski for 30 minutes, quite crazy i think although i suppose the servicing costs are higher on jetskis and go-carts.

Jim, i would recommend renting a bigger bike, maybe a sports or a cruiser and touring around the island but be VERY careful, start with a scooter and get used to the traffic and the way that people drive.
