Question Phuket newbie with a question

This nov will be my first time to Phuket with a few buddies.
we are renting a villa at surin, which i been told is 20-25min from patong.

since i never been to phuket before , how are the cabs there?
is there any kind of outcall cabs service or something similar?
we been thinking about getting a driver, but i don't know how many will be available for us to call at like 3AM

help will be appreciated

There are mostly tuk tuk's, Phuket Town have metered taxis thought. We also have some private transporation companies but they are usually not reachable at night time.

I do know I have customers from Laguna sometimes who use a taxi and the driver wait in Patong during their session here, I have no idea what company they use.

There are also many private drivers available for "rent", many travel agencies may have their own driver or friend who are willing to drive people around, so maybe you talk to one of them and ask for a driver if you dont want tuk tuk.

If you need some numbers of drivers, if you lucky i have some in my phone from last trip. Either they drive or have friends.

dont worry about taxis or drivers. there are plenty. the only thing is find out from who you rented the villa from how far, if any your away from the road. because if your far off from the road, you cant just wave down a car

Have you thought about renting motor bikes for the duration-about BHT100 each per day and you get to go anywhere you want whenever you want although I strongly recomend you don't drink + drive.

Plenty of places in patong (there are many along beach rd) hire them out
