expired visas
Thailand is the first country I've travelled to that's required a visa which hopefully explains this newbie question. Are you required to keep expired visas stapled in your passport as a record,or do you remove them after the trip.(because mine from last year fell out and I think it's gone.)I'm guessing the arrival/departure stamps are what's important?

Canadians can get a 30 day tourist visa on arrival.

Don't know Canadian visa system , but as a Brit , the arrival/departure stamps are my only concern. As long as all details are in immigration/passport control computer , then I can't see any problem. Remember , any overstays etc are also recorded and could affect future visa's.

What type of visa are we talking about??
I'm having a problem understanding how a visa can fall out of a passport. I've never seen a Thai visa stapled in the passport.

As far as I know, some countries have a sticker type visa which is attached to a page in the passport. I guess what happens is the glue dries out and the "visa" comes loose. You still need the entry/exit stamps , could this possibly be a multi-entry .

When I arrived last year they stamped my passport but also stapled in,what I thought ,was my 30 day visa.Definatly happend at the immigration counter, cause he stapled it in crooked and I didn't want to say anything. Maybe it was a Burger King coupon.55555555
Seiously maybe the glue was no good so they were stapling them.My concern is my passport only has Arrival /departure stamps from last year.Would they even be concerned about a missing expired visa from last year?

That is not a visa, that is your departure card and is removed from your passport when you pass through immigration on exit from Thailand.

Automatically assumed he was talking about something else , am so used to arrivals/departures that I don't even think about the card anymore.

They staple a TM7 entry card if you dont have a real visa.. good for 30 days for most western countries and 15 days for some others..
When you leave they remove it..
There is also an entry stamp with your 30 day limit and when you leave they put an exit stamp next to it...
You must have 6 months valid passport from the date of entry and space enough on a page for entry and exit stamps next to each other..

Thanks guys, that all makes sense now. I'm learning. Kinda wondered how I could "lose" paperwork out of my passport. seems they took it while I was staring off into space wishing for one more week in LOS.555555
