I would like to do some scubadiving during my visit. I already have Padi advanced and won't do courses.

What Companies could you recommend for 1 and 2 day excursions?
What cmpanies have real dive-guides with expierience? Not those *I-have-50-dives-and-am-already-diveinstructor* Guys...

I'd like to do some wreck and cave diving also.

any recommendations?

Hi Videolover

I have used Scuba Cat + Santana in Patong and Sharkeys + Sunrise in Kata/Karon. All of these were good and all had older more experienced European divemasters/instructors leading

I highly recommend a trip out to Similans/Surin/Richelieu Rock 3 days and 2 nights-the one I booked was with Sharkeys but Sunrise also have it-where you will see some of the best divesites withsome of the best viz in the world. If you have time definitely do this. Most others take at least another day for this itinerary

If you can only do an overnighter there is one going to Phi Phi with dives on Hin Dang + Hin Muang which is also great

I suggest you check out the websites of the above and keep in mind Sunrise + Sharkeys if you want to maximise your time in the water

There are also plenty of day trips with all of the above however try to get day trips with 3 dives rather than 2-better value-Shark Pt + King Cruiser Wreck + Anenome Reeef are 3 of the best local dives available

You can also get a video of your dive trip however I am sure that your love is not for this kind of video

Hi there. I am from Switzerland and found a contact to merlin-divers. (Managed by some Swiss-guy) Do any of you guys know them? Any experience?

And why is that that all the diving-exursions to Phi Phi are on Fr-Sat??? I dont like to see only neopren when diving... I am there because of the animals and underwateworld....

i think all the dive shops are the same agents for dive companies ,except may be scuba cat.
they will all have a diary chart of what,how many dives on what days are available.as for weekends at phi phi i have no idea as i have never really noticed.
but the best dives are the similian live aboards

Merlin Divers are good friends to me and I learned diving by them, althought I did the test in English they also had books and tests in Swedish If I wanted too.

Nice and personal service and great instructors.
