Applications for financial assistance to travel & stay for Tsunami ceremonies can now be made online but only until 6 November

The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs have announced through their website www.mfa.go.th/tsunami
that applications can be made online for one next-of-kin of Tsunami victims or missing persons, and those injured and admitted to a hospital in the Tsunami-affected provinces of Thailand. Each guest can apply for financial support for international flights and domestic transportation, which includes a Bangkok-Phuket return air-ticket, and accommodation between 25-27 December 2005. Extra financial support can be arranged upon request for the injured who need to be accompanied by an assistant, whereby appropriate documentation from a hospital must be shown. Those interested in attending the Commemorative Ceremonies on 26 December 2005 must submit an application form and related documentation by Sunday 6 November 2005. Financial sponsorship will be in a form of reimbursement under the terms and conditions on the website.
