Enormous Shake Up Of Visa And Immigration Rules
Most farangs will be affected.

I also read that earlier today on Thaivisa.. But basically thats just a summation of the changes that were all being discussed a few weeks back.
As to your situation I dont see how they can say that for a first application.. You have to bring the money in for the visa so it has to arrive in your first 90 days (if a new arrival).. I think they mean that when going for your annual extension it will need to have been in the bank but even then surely the whole point is a once yearly top up.. Very bass ackwards.

Only new thing is the 800k being in the (Thai) bank 3 months prior to the renewal - but had older freinds had to keep the money in the bank for a further 2 months after the application until the actual 1 year (effectively 10 month) visa was issued - so may well have 800k (or 400k if marrriage based) tied up 6 months a year.
