Things seem to be getting worse for expats on tourist visas....

Well the rules are pretty clearly posted now..

People going to cross to other countries with no money strike me as dumb at best. Dawinism at work.

... so would the fair investment here be to buy a full fare paper-ticket, to say Singapore, and have it re-issued at a ticket office before each visa run?

Thems the rules.. An e-ticket is easy to have and modify.

Theres also a rule you must have 10,000 baht with you also.. Not visa card etc but cash.. Currently thats not being enforced.

Personally the way I see it is immigration no longer want anyone but the most casual tourist using visa exempt stamps.. and will make life hell for anyone trying to long stay on that visa class (or lack of visa class) so why make it hard on yourself.. Go get tourist visa's.

A lot of airlines these days are ticketless.. That especially applies to all these asian budget ones... Hardly my fault ??

So far as I know any of the emailed tickets work.. immigration even has its own one the 'recommend' at many borders.. Some little guy with an internet connection now sells 200 one way tickets a day on commission.. Nice work if you can get it..

If my statement came across as personal, that was unintentional. I was merely commenting on the ever increasing difficulty with barriers set up by the Thai government and the need to prove.

I understood.. And also I wouldnt use the visa less systems any more.. But they can hardly tell you what airlines you can and cant fly with !!

I mean a Thai air ticket printout from a travel agent is a pretty pathetic bit of dot matrix on plain paper also.. Thats the royal Thai airline and national carrier.. They also have an e-booking and e-ticket system.
