Personally I am amazed that things havent got messier already..
Then again Thais in general seem to have a bit of apathy towards governance and how they are managed. I keep reading about a scheduled rally and thinking 'here we go' but it doesnt seem to reach critical mass. Also the things I find shocking (freedom of press index, website blocking, financial stuff like withholding tax screwups) dont seem to create much interest with Thais.

According to the news in the UK today both himself and his wife have been ordered to return to Thailand to face corruption charges, yes his takeover of Manchester City Football Club is going ahead as planned, so is his return to Thailand to face charges or just a face saving excercise....!!!!

Square head is a master at warping the minds of the common thai. The new government has done little to none to win those hearts and minds. Could end up being a real show down situation. I still think if he had just stayed abroad, stayed quite, and layed low then he could have gotten out of this without much of a punishment. All this activities including buying the football club are just asking for it.
