Saw this last night on the news. The protesters were getting rough with the police.

Does anyone else have a feeling of tip of iceberg, perhaps more to come? maybe a feeling of major concern, or am I just reading a little too much into this?

It is the first real violent protest that I can remember. From the video, the protesters were really pissed. The cops did a good job staying calm and controlling the situation.
I think that as the economy deteriorates, it certainly could get worse.

I think at this point it will be hard to get enough people out on the streets.. Thais are tired with it, they have a promise of an election, seems to me that they would not rock the boat at this point.
What I find disturbing is the behind the scenes machinations to change the power structure of the country in the new constitution.. I dont think many are aware or paying attention.
