Kevin 07

Looks like Kevin is Oz's new PM and Johnnie has probably lost his seat.

I guess all the Aussie expats are watching the election results at the Aussie bar.

SD, mine are broken (as pictured in avatar).
I wasn't aware that Mav was distributing them in Oz either, up until tonight.

Where not a Convict Colony anymore K2.....although sometimes l do wonder.

John Howard went to the well once too often.....and as a result he leaves office in shame........every big policitcal name in Australia's history has never been able to give up the power, Hawke, Keating, Fraser etc etc, except for Menzies who as such is held in high esteem by most.......he should have stepped aside when he chalked up 10 years early 2006.

Good Luck to Mr Rudd, whose best efforts thus far were to get busted on camera eating his own ear wax and get caught in a New York Strip Club.

It has already started in Sydney - the forecast is showers for the next week, although today looks OK so far.

Apart from the abolition of WorkChoices and an Iraq withdrawal, I can't see too much changing. These days Labor is as conservative as the Liberals. Not the same as when Gough was around!

The interesting thing now is who will lead the Liberals. Surely they won't be stupid enough to elect Costello, who IMHO, is one of the most hated pollies in Australia.

Costello has got the message! He has just announced he won't be standing for the leadership.

How can any country elect a pm called 'Kevin' ????

Suppose in the interests of less confusion, you guys when referring to him should perhaps call him k3!!!!!!!!!

It won't make a great deal of difference. Australia is a very conservative country despite what each party thinks.

Bit of a worry having a banana bender for PM after Johs attempt at power.

I preferred Howard but I suppose we must give Kevie a go even if he has unusual dietary needs.

Rudd isen't he the bloke that wrote Ginger Meggs.
