Happened sunday morning and only just reported today!!

Saphan Hin doesn't sound a very pleasant area. Lots of gluesniffing and drug taking youths down there :-(

The south end of Phuket City - - if you drive down the road (where Immigration is) then you will get there - its where the Boxing Stadium is.

SAPHAN HIN: This place looks so quiet with a real family atmosphere in the day time hours. Once the sun goes down it becomes a real lawless area with repeated gang shootings, bashings and the (very) odd police arrest.

If any BM's want to find trouble, look no futher than Saphan Hin, just past the big shell, Phuket Town.

yeah some kid got his hand cut off and another died from a samurai sword inflicted headwound a couple of weeks back. Very dodgy area.

I saw some footage of the aftermath on a local Thai tv channel on Thursday night.Some blood on the ground and a gun.
Seems as if the media was restrained from reporting the incident until Sunday!!
