Yet another article dumping all over Thailand.

I noticed they managed to include several paragraphs about the massive prostitute industry.

Where do they get these figures?? Has the writer ever been here??

An article written from behind a desk in London that is where.The Independent is one of those tabloids that churn out all this tosh.

Very dramatic indeed. As for the q whether the author has ever been to Thailand, it says at the end:

So you would assume someone who has written a guide to Thailand has been there? He sounds more like a drama queen to me.

im sure it was just a frustrated family going to the press and her running with it
i dealt with the Thai polic concerning a foriegn death and to say the couldnt give a fcuk about it, would be understating it
although in the story, they did say that the thai's authorities were helpful

Shame the author didn't bother to visit the Foreign & Commonwealth Office travel advice page for Thailand where it has a whole chunk on crime and gives the number of Britons murdered since January '06.
