Yahoo Two

What a difference a day makes. Yahoo shares increased 50% after the M$ hostile bid. Will I never learn?

Knew a cat, 20 years old at the time, who worked some sort of scam during the dot com bubble. Scraped up $1k when he was 14 years old and bought Yahoo stock. Never exactly clear on the details. However just shy of the Bubble Burst he cashed out for $21k, at which time his parents found out. They locked the money in some financial instrument until he turned 21. He was ticked since if he had held onto the stock "a little longer" he would have made far more money.

Breaks my heart, it does.

Same here I've been following that stock for a bit, watching it go lower and lower, then out of the blue MSFT makes a bid like that. Even if Yahoo accepts it will never clear.
I should have known Msft's been looking at companies like Yahoo for a while trying to compete with Google.
