THAI board of directors resign en masse

What's this all about then. Resigned??? Ordered to Resign ??? Some kind of protest gesture ???? Something odd about this.

(BangkokPost.com) – The entire board of directors of Thai Airways has resigned, including the board’s chairman, Air Chief Marshal Chalit Phukphasuk.

THAI sources said the decision was made during this morning’s board meeting, in order to “make way for the new government”.

“Even our national carrier’s President can be hand-picked by the new government,” said THAI president Apinan Sumanaserani, “that’s why we’re opening all doors for the government to set up a new team. After all, the government has a majority stake in THAI.”

Sounds like they changed the company president.. And the whole board resigned in protest..

After all, the government has a majority stake in THAI.”. I wonder if they have a better man for the job or if this is jobs for the boys stuff.

New gov throwing its weight around.. Bullying new chief into the national carrier.. Existing management telling them fine "do it all then"..

Just how I would read between the lines.
