Thai authorities in Phuket arrested a foreigner wanted by the FBI in the US.

A 42 year old American Mr Earl Russell Bonds was filmed here still in an unconscious condition in the investigation room at the Phuket Immigration reportedly due to drugs. Mr. Bonds was arrested by the Thai Central Investigation Police and Tourist Police at a house in Ban Sai Yuan of Rawai sub-district, south of Phuket on Tuesday. He was detained to pass on to the FBI in the US. The move followed the Thai police receiving a request from the FBI which had been searching for Mr Bonds for many cases of child or adolescent sexual abuses according to a St. Louise police warrant. They learnt of his stay in Thailand and sought Thai officials’ cooperation. Mr. Bonds is reported to have used many names such as Christopher Turner/Stewart, Earl Russell Dickerson/Turner and Loren Hudson and he also disguised himself to divert police attention. According to his passport and work permit, he had been residing in Phuket for two years, working as a language teacher. When he was suspicious that police would know his whereabouts he then resigned and worked as a writer. Police initial investigation reports that the man admitted to being the same name as the suspect, but declined to give any more information.
